In this video, I show how easy it is to swap out the OEM switch on our 2019+ Rams with the red push button from the TRX.

Just did mine last week! NO TOOLS NECESSARY! Just lay on you back and reach your hand (R) towards the front of the panel. There' an opening that leads to the ignition switch and wire. It took me all of 3 minutes!

There is no need to unplug the wiring first. It is plenty long enough to come out with the button, so you dont jave to do it blind. Otherwise spot on, super easy to do.

Nice! Thanks for this video. You should also try and do one for the control knobs on the stereo. I have a big horn and comes with the ugly black rubberized knobs. I want to switch them to nicer metal ones that come on the Laramie etc.

2020 Ram 2500 Cummins - Ordered from this site, installed in the truck and the lights on the push button does not work. Uninstalled ☹️

Major bummer man, I think the older 4th gen trucks have the same issue. While I’m cannot totally confirm this I think the push button lights are wired slightly different between the years which is why yours functions to turn the truck on but the backlight does not. Again, I can concretely say this is totally true but based on what I’ve heard from others, I suspect this is the case.

So curious question.the rebel that I ordered I had all the red trim around the steering wheel and the radio. But when I added the GT package it wiped out all of the red. They said it has a GT interior now, no red.I don’t know why the red didn’t stay but it is what it is. Do you know any add-on accessories so I can have the red trim back in the truck? I don’t need the door panels read or anything like that I just like to read on the steering wheel in the dashboard area. Thanks Fred

Taking kick panel off is not necessary unless you have huge arms. Just reach behind dash and I clip. Unplug after you pull it out. Plug back in & just pop back into dash. Why overthink this?

How long did you have to wait for it to arrive. I ordered on July 7th and it still has not shipped. For a $15 shipping charge, I expected faster shipping.

Less than a week. I imagine it all depends on where the part comes from. In the last Mopar stuff has shipped pretty quickly to me. I think I near a parts distributor.

I doubt it would but I cannot say for certain. You can pull your switch out and send some pictures to me, I can cross reference it with my switch. [e-mail]

Ram Changed the design of the switch all together from 19 to 21.... different mounting. same plug.... also.... seems something is different between the two gens because the TRX button will not illuminate even though the wiring harness is similar and all pin outs are the same.

Yeah there’s a small tab you push so the connector can be disconnected from the back of the button
