Brilliant. That was probably the only reason I wasnt interested in the trx4m. I did consider getting one and sacrificing the stock battery to make my own.

Same it’s a turn-off from buying the car… I don’t usually care about Traxxas policing the industry with there proprietary stuff (I actually like the traxxas battery connectors on the larger vehicles) but something about this one, not being able to make any battery work makes me not want the car

What battery would you recommend for more power? I have Meus racing 44t motor with high speed gears and my stock battery won’t let me rip it out the gate on instant power I’ve gotta ease into it!
@TheShopMiniRC2 ай бұрын
Generally you need to up the voltage to get more power (to a 3s (11.1v).) you could try a higher c rating in your 2 s but honestly, It’s not gonna help much.

Could you share where to buy the power leads to the three 2s connectors seen at 5:22? I'd like to get one of these for my charger but having a hard time searching for that adapter.
@TheShopMiniRC Жыл бұрын
So the adapter is actually for the jst ph plug on mini batteries (the ones with balance and lead in 1 plug) However you can just pull the pins out and put the balance adapter in and it works fine too. You can also easily make one do them from scratch. (I should do a video) Either way, here is the cable I use for my mini z / 1/28 lipos and to charge via balance cable. www.kenonhobby.com/PN-Racing-4mm-Banana-Plug-3xJST-PH-Parallel-Charging-Cable_p_46090.html www.kenonhobby.com/PN-Racing-XT60-Plug-3xJST-PH-Parallel-Charging-Cable_p_46091.html I believe these ones actually already have the balance cable (if that’s what an “xh” is www.kenonhobby.com/PN-Racing-4mm-Banana-Plug-To-XH-Plug-x3-Parallel-Charging-Cable_p_49179.html www.kenonhobby.com/PN-Racing-XT60-Plug-To-XH-Plug-x3-Parallel-Charging-Cable_p_49180.html

I don't think the balance wires of the battery are up to par to the current draw, am I missing something? Or is this a really bad idea?
@TheShopMiniRC Жыл бұрын
on these tiny batteries its totally fine. If you were running something pulling a ton more amperage, sure, you wouldn't wanna pull from the balance wires, but all of these 1/18 and 1/24 are totally fine.

I don’t have one, so I am not sure. This plug adapter is for any “standard” hobby grade charger. If the traxxas id charger has the red JST power lead Than this will work.

I want to know where they got the plug for the esc?? or is it 4 single pin plugs glued together? wiring is easy..
@TheShopMiniRC2 жыл бұрын
it looks like its the 3 single pins glued together or a 3 pin connector and a single pin glued on top. You can also cut your stock battery connector off, make it a balance connector and use the removed battery end to make the adapter.

The pricing for an adapter is a bit ridiculous; especially with shipping to Canada. Once I realized it was just a servo adapter with a 4th plug glued on I just made my own for less than $1.

Yeah, it’s competitively priced. I can see how the shipping to Canada would kill it though.
