Imo, I don't think it's all that weird or a sign of workforce conditioning... there have _always_ been toys that mimic adult jobs, and kids will naturally pretend to do what they see their parents doing -- which, because of the recent huge increase of work-from-home situations, now more often includes working on laptops with headsets while sipping coffee ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You'll so often see kids pick up toys and pretend they are _something else entirely_ to match whatever they want to play as -- so I wouldn't be surprised if someone saw a kid pick up, say, a toy hammer and pretend it's a phone, or an empty box and pretend it's a briefcase or laptop, pretending to work at their desk like they've seen their parents do at home or something, and the someone said "y'know, I bet some kids would be stoked to have toys about this" and... _viola._ By the same token, if a kid will pick up a non-office-related toy and pretend it's something office-related, they'll also pick up an office-related toy and pretend it's something totally different. I don't think I saw anything in that kit that would be weird to normalize to a kid, that isn't already normalized for plenty of kids by seeing their parents interact with those objects (laptops, coffee cups, phones, etc.) That's not to say that there _aren't_ objects that would be weird to make kid-toy versions of, but I don't think this office worker set is one of them any more than play sets for other types of jobs 🤔
