一気に日本語上手くなってるじゃないですか😮素晴らしい🎉👏👏👏 Your Japanese is improving at once❗Amazing👏👏👏 The original story of this skit is that in the past, in some areas of Japan, food was scarce and it was not known whether people could survive. In that case, there was a custom to ask young people to work hard and take the old people to the depths of the mountains and leave them there. It's an unthinkable story now, but I think it's really difficult to come up with a conte that can make such a serious story laugh.

Only a great comedian can turn a tragedy into a comedy. Ken Shimura and Cha Kato are great comedians. 😊👍
While watching the story on TV, the family laughed and said, "If she's such a lively old woman, there's no need to abandon her in the mountains. She can probably work for three people." *This story is based on a legend about an old man who could no longer work and was tearfully abandoned in the mountains.

This old lady is really very cheerful. 😁👍 I heard about this legend.
Good evening ALEX😊 There is a story that in the olden days, in a small part of poor Japan, old people who were too old to work were abandoned in the mountains for the purpose of resolving food shortages. His novels and film adaptations have made him widely known among modern Japanese people. Of course I watched this video when I was a kid. I knew this story when I was five years old. So there was a time when I was worried that my beloved grandparents would be abandoned in the mountains. No more sacrifices like this. And it was good that it was a funny video. DOUMO ARIGATO.

Good evening😊 It's good that this story is just a legend and nothing happened to your grandparents.👵

The late rakugo storyteller, Katsura shijyaku once insisted that the gap between tension and its release makes people laugh. i think this comedy skit is a typical example which bears out his hypothesis

Happy new year. I saw this conte for the first time, but I laughed at the gap between the sad story and the gag that happened later. It is worth noting that the stage is carefully constructed. The Drifters didn't compromise on that point. By the way, it seems that it is unclear whether the customs of Mt. Ubasute really existed.

In the first few minutes, I thought that this wasn't a comedy but a tragedy.😅

Konnichiwa, Mr. Alex! 🤗 The explanation of Mt.Ubasute seems to be written in another comment, so I will omit the explanation. Originally, it's an old tale that should have been sad, but because it's Ken Shimura and Cha Kato, it's funny and comedy. What's up? Are you sleeping properly? It's almost the new year, so I want to make sure I'm in good shape and welcome the new year.

Konnichiwa, Mr. Bachi 🤗 I don't get much sleep lately because I have a lot of work to do. There is no time to shoot new videos, and this makes me sad. 😔 I wish you good health and lots of fun in the new year.😊

It is an old tale told in Japan. There is more to this story. The local lord hated old people, so he made a law to throw old people into the mountains. However, when the shogun ordered me to do an unreasonable task and I was at a loss, the old man gave me wisdom and the local lord saved his life. Then the local lord abolished the rule and took care of the old man. It's a story like this.

Very interesting story. But it's more like a fairy tale, right?
So in the old days, when Gramma got too old, they are not useful anymore so society has a rule to throw away Gramma in the middle of the mountain and leave there. They made a comedy with that even they tried so hard to throw away Gramma, she come back home every time

@@squeakychairchannel for sure🤣🤣 they were really poor at that era. Which one is better to sell daughters to prostitutes or throw away old people.....?
