I think it's gallium, not mercury. It is normally a solid, but it melts at quite a low temperature Tho it can cause irritation, it is defenetly safer than mercury

@@Ark_knight0 You could be right as it’s easy to assume something without knowing the details. I did see another similar video where the person was using what appeared to be the same items but they were wearing gloves. I’m guessing a lot of people aren’t aware of the dangers of handling heavy metals and the consequences that they bring later in life so I just put it in a way that hopefully people will make an attempt at being more cautious.

The "some kind of liquid" the barber but the head of his clippers in is probably rubbing alcohol... It cleans the blades and unlike water it won't cause your clippers to rust and dull out.

Nope. If you watch closely, bubbles form on the surface and float for a while. Isopropyl alcohol does not have surface tension properties like that. If I had to guess it was some sort of oil. Great for lubrication. Also good for rust proofing but not relevant as clippers are usually made from a stainless alloy.

Oil! Sheer/Clipper lubricant in a medium to small jar cap. When the clippers are turned on, the oil/lubricant loosens, captures, and draws away the hair while lubricating the clippers. You can buy a large bottle at any beauty supply store or online.

it is a similar metal called Gallium which is solid at room temperature but melts at body temperature however it is not readily absorbed through the skin like Mercury is and is therefore much safer to handle and play with though it leaves a grayish silver resi8due on the skin that can be a pain to wash off
