You can legitimately make your own molten hot lava. You just need a very high heating smelter, usually powered by gas of some sort(maybe propane) if you don't use a looooot of coal(think blacksmiths who had to heat up weapons so much that metal was malleable). Search up videos saying "I poured liquid aluminum into an ant hill". Some metals turn bright red/yellow when melted, e.g. like lava. You can turn stone into lava, but it might be harder to do.
