Maybe Tony is a super thoughtful gentleman, dad, brother, or boyfriend. He always is prepared for the woman in his life. My husband kept a box of tampons with a few pads in the glove compartment of his car for our daughter and myself. We could always count on him to go to the store for anything 💜 When our cycles would sync up he would often figure it out before we even started…. There were many a months where my daughter and I would be a bit sassy with each other. He would show up with chocolates, ice cream, and movies. Tell us we needed girl time and “ground us” to my room. Throwing all the goodies on the bed 😂. Best hubby ever! Or maybe Tony is a creep 🤷‍♀️

As a nurse, the only thing I can say is that a sanitary pad or tampon would be reasonable to use for wound care as a dressing. They’re sterile, so long as they‘ve remained in their packaging. Also as for the cough syrup, honey is better than cough syrup, just a spoonful of honey or honey in tea. Works a charm :)
@Stained_Sin
@Stained_Sin Жыл бұрын
Cool!! info straight from a Nurse. That means you can (probably and hopefully) trust it!
@dr_jaymz
@dr_jaymz Жыл бұрын
yep they make good field dressings and you normally haven't had them in a first aid kit for 27 years, you can make good compression bandages, cold presses etc - far better that bog roll. For honey, it does work as its antibacterial with an indefinite shelf life. However, that effect is destroyed by heat so its much more effective on its own straight off a spoon and leave it at that than adding to tea. Or probably have the tea first to soothe your throat then have the honey to let it fight the bacteria.

If you loose a tooth and it's fresh, you can gently chew the tea bag to relieve the fresh wound. The recommended tea bag is some sort of mint, and it also absorbs the blood.

So, weirdly enough...the teabag for a toothache actually does work if the toothache is from an infection or abscessed tooth. Do it before bed, it works as a poultice and draws out the infection, and the toothache goes away. Idk how or why it works, but I can personally attest it works like freaking magic.
@MullingInk

If you’re using black or green tea, the tea leaves have tannins in them that have some antibacterial properties, but probably the biggest way they help is that tannins tend to dehydrate the tissue there just a little, which alleviates the swelling just a bit. It’s not a cure, but a decent stopgap. Mint teabags can have a cooling and numbing effect due to menthol (something creams like IcyHot use to their advantage). Cloves are actually a fairly good local anesthetic, and have been used to alleviate tooth and gum pain since at least the Middle Ages. Source-multiple classes on medieval medicine, personal experience, the usual layman/general public medical information sites.

I also get chronic migraines. I've had them since I was like 12. There's 2 things that help (besides, obviously resting in a dark/cool room). Putting the tip of my fingers on the pulse point where the migraine is, and a "Huggable Massager". You can Google that. My mom gave me a black and white cat one years ago and I use it all the time.

The only thing that makes 5 minute crafts worth watching is Kris’s reactions to them.I would love to know who creates these five minute crafts and why. The only one of these that actually works is the chapstick one. Chapstick helps when you have a cold and the outside of your nose is dry and sore from blowing & wiping it. It also helps if you’re on oxygen and the tubing irritates your nose. The pharmacist actually told me about this and I keep a chapstick just for my nose but the rest of these 5 minute crafts are ridiculous. The medication ones for children are terrible.I could watch Kris judge them all day long though. She’s so funny and so right. Any day we have longer Kris videos is a great day….or at least a few great minutes in our day.Can’t wait for the next one!

@@arryarhine Yeah it's something commonly advised when a patient has bad hayhever, although any allergies effecting the nose could be included. It's good as it doesn't interfere with any allergy medicine you take, although most of them are fine to combine to build a more complete treatment plan, so it's always worth getting a patient to try.
