Scuba divers roll backwards so the tank hits the water first. It's kind of heavy. You can jump in feet first but you have to know how to do it safely. You put one hand on the back of your head and tuck your chin down into your chest. And the other hand around your back holding the bottom of the tank. If you just YOLO it and hop in your head will roll back when it hits the water and slam into the top of the tank, rather painful. The more you know...
