My father grew up in the country poor, living off the land. After the army, he married my mother, and raised a family in Baltimore City. He tried to get me into hunting, dressing, and eating wild game and critters, but it wasn’t for me. Our deep freezer was always full of squirrels, mush rats, venison, etc, etc. I didn’t mind shooting all of that stuff, but eating it was a different story. My siblings ate it, just wasn’t my cup of tea. Watching you guys brings back memories. 🤗

Take that grinder plate and run it flat across some very very fine sandpaper on a very flat surface, run the knife plate too. And that meat needs to be mostly frozen, put that whole grinder in the freezer too before you use it. Even doing all that, it's not easy using that old school manual grinder.
