I love your build with the ziricote top. I recently picked up one of the entry level Jackson’s that have a thin ziricote veneer on top with a matte finish and I absolutely love it. Really tempted to get one on my future kiesel (I’m a sap wood fan personally)

Oh no it’s entry level price point wise. It’s the JS42 ziricote. Guitar center exclusive. Still a great playing guitar once you put in some upgrades

Burled walnut would be my #1 (someday...), with ziricote as #2 (I have it on a fretboard on a SH6). I'm surprised burled redwood didn't make your list! It's got this gorgeous golden shimmer to it, not dissimilar to figured koa in some ways.

Great video! I haven't heard of Royal Ebony before, but it is most likely "Pale Moon Ebony", that's how other manufacturers call it.

Thanks for watching. Pale moon is actually quite different. It's going to be a tan/cream color with some pretty wild black swoops and swirls. Royal ebony will be more chocolate brown with black.

@agatone20 of course! Pale moon tops last I heard are about a $2,000 option 🫢💰 so would make for a pretty fancy build!

​@@TopShelfGear I believe you! I am lucky to own a private stock with pale moon top, fretboard and neck. With black limba body, never found one with pale moon body but probably won't be able to afford it if they build a 100% pale moon guitar 😅

My first Kiesel had Black Limba body. Man, that was heavy and not fun for long gigs. My 3rd build had walnut neck - loved it. My next build probably will have bloodwood fretwood. It looks like rosewood, but bloodier? I realized that since I prefer solid color, the body type wood really doesn't matter.

Yup! gorgeous wood but can be fairly heavy. (surprised a lot of people have been tryin to dispute that for some reason) Bloodwood is really cool too. It is a heavier wood as well. Feels slick and smooth like ebony. I really like my 3 piece walnut/bloodwood neck. Something to be aware of though like purple heart it can lose some of that red and fade to more brownish over time. If you are going for a solid painted color body I probably would consider a different fretboard than bloodwood. I'd suggest a bloodwood fretboard on something that has some texture on the body like a raw tone finish natural build. Comes down to personal preference. Maybe a jet black or blacked out raw tone ash with the blood wood :)

Hey bro nice videos about Kiesel..i just want to say youve got a beautiful osiris … i wana ask a question.. i love playing lower tunings .. so what would be a better option.. a 27inch Vader or a multiscale Osiris.. i am absolutely in love with the Osiris though!!

Thanks for watching! yes so happy with this Osiris! It was worth the wait indeed! If you want a guitar dedicated to low tunings/heavy riffs and you want that increased tension across all strings I could see the 27" being a good option. If you want something that's going to work better for playing leads then I would for sure get the multi scale Osiris. The top bevel on the Osiris is a little more ergonomic in my opinion too. Hope that helps!

Disappointing that Wenge is not a neck wood. I have two guitars and a bass with full Wenge or pieced, and I really dig the open grain texture with a satin coating.

I can understand that for sure. Not the biggest fan of that wood myself as a1 piece but I can appreciate it as thin lamination stipes :)
