Why the"bench" from the ground not a bench? Would that help with my shoulder issues?

It is called a floor press. It was the precursor to the bench press and they did them from the bottom, as they did not have a rack to make them look like the bench press. You pressed them up from blocks the bar rested on.

I’ve heard it recommended to keep the body in a tighter , debatably safer , position . Makes sense to me . I like the idea. You can go full range of motion on a bench with light weight or dumbbells, but maybe do floor presses for heavier stuff . I’m no expert tho, just a guy that hoovers up knowledge and opinions. As far as building muscle there’s a KZbin with a very impressive chest that says he built it only by doing floor press with dumbbells and dumbbell flys, so no need for full range of motion or putting your chest /shoulders in a potentially negative posture. Saying that I watching him doing push-ups and he was going into more of a stretched position than was possible in the floor press .

Get a bench bro. F that crumby range of motion for the Bench press.
@zachayres2655 Жыл бұрын
They’re called floor presses. Suppose to be less range of motion.

Fuck your un- natural, real world non- functional movement. Bench boys look good but can't do shit. Go watch strongmen and you'll learn other movements matter and your chest is a stabilizer only to way bigger muscles and movements. Btw physio fact- the range you work in, the body has strength for 30% beyond that, fuck your stupid hyperextension and again un- natural movement
