It’s the Red Diamond Finesse. Look at the Blue Diamond spinning rod or the Accura series. The one I’m throwing in the video is too soft. More of a jig head minnow n ned rod. The Virtus Finesse jig rod is great for a shakey head.

what are your thoughts on fishing a jig on mh vs a h ?

I do it at times. a 1/4 n 3/8 works well on a med hvy but a 1/2 it may be to much. It also depends on the brand of rod. The Lews Custom Lite Mag Med Hvy is more like a hvy but the Falcon Cara Med Hvy is a softer rod.

Squatch Bluff! One of the few stretches that doesn't collect grass during the year. It's been pretty good to me as well but the rocks have claimed a few jigs over the years. Good de-snagging tip! Watching one of Stefan's videos and picked up a nice stainless telescoping golf ball retriever. Should be able to get some back without getting too shallow and banging up the trolling motor. Should also work for us amateurs who wind up casting into instead of under cover. Still have the Autotrieve for those deep snags. Perhaps will eventually learn to skip before having to give it up. Give Finn a scratch for us!
