emilynoel83 I'm in shock that you didn't mention the Korress Wild Rose Cream ;) I can't remember if you'd tried it in the past - I have but I honestly can't remember! I'm also curious about the Boots Botainics Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz (saw it at Target). I think that's the way that I'm enjoying these scents most, especially if you store that bottle in the fridge. Ahhh! I have tried this hippy Rose water spray, too - it's by a company called Hertiage Store. My parents used it for years and I still love it - it's great! Burt's Bees also makes a Rose toner of some kind. I think I'm adding to your buy list haha. Thanks - fun video Emily!

You should do a video called , " take off the day with me" where you take off your makeup and do your skincare, while doing a life update/ chit chat. I just think it would be a nice video or even series. You could talk about how your life's been or you could give reviews on the longevity of the things you wore that day. I don't know it that even made sense but I hope you understand❤️

The best rose-scented face mist I have found is pure rose water! I can find this in the baking aisle of my local grocery store (along with orange blossom water) and I just put into a spray bottle at home, and voila! It is also very good for the skin, so sometimes I mix it with a little witch hazel as a toner, it is amazing! 🌹
@Aussiegirl19729 жыл бұрын
Rose water is very drying and irritating on the skin. Witch hazel is extremely irritating on the skin even if you don't see it on the surface of the skin it's damaging underneath the skin. It's been proven scientifically.
@karie32129 жыл бұрын
Shari Puddicombe Such a good idea. Thanks for sharing! I use witch hazel on my horses too (it's great for achey muscles)!
@busymama79039 жыл бұрын
Fernanda Goncalves, not sure what your source is, but the rose water I refer to is pure rose water, i.e. water infused with steamed rose petals, which are rich in anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. It can actually hydrate and soothe irritated skin, unless, of course you are allergic to roses or flowers in general. As long as your witch hazel and rose water are both alcohol-free (alcohol is drying/irritating) and you don't have flower sensitivity, it should be fine. That said, everyone's skin is different, and what works for some, won't work for all. It works for me, and I have dry, sensitive skin, but it also works for my oily, acne-prone sister. Bottom line: use what works for you.

Hi Emily! For rose facial mists, I have some suggestions. One I would suggest is picking up some distilled rose water from any Middle Eastern grocery store. I grow up using this ( all the women in my family use this) as a toner)..its costs less than 3 dollars and it feels great, perfect for all skin types especially sensitive & especially on a hot day put it in the fridge and then spritz it on on your face. Of course use it if you have no allergies! Another recommendation I have is by Andalou: it is the Rose water Toner: fabulous. A little pricier. The cost is about 10 dollars. The third and last recommendation I have is by Heritage Store: Rosewater & Glycerin.This is just fabulous. I am on my second bottle. This truly a great find. I use this to moisturize my face and even my body. You can find this in natural food stores & of course Amazon. Enjoy!

Hi Emily loved this video! :) I put masks on ATLEAST 2 times a week, right after my semi hot shower when the pores are open. I'm a strong believer of sheet masks (esp Asian ones) and feel it's a great inexpensive fast way to do treatments for the long term skin esp if you're always busy like myself. When applying sheet masks, I feel that it's super super important to make sure that you unfold it completely first and make sure all of the mask is patted flush to your face a section of a time starting from the forehead down. (you might have to pat the t zone/ nose area a couple times- that part always lifts up for me during drying) by making sure it's insulated, your skin drinks everything up and you should deff notice a difference. I always take it off when I feel like the mask is dry and not so much wet. Honestly I don't even need a moisturizer after for during the day, it's so hydrating when leaving it on this long. When removed, my face is always even in tone, brightened, and sooo nourished! And I really do notice the difference of each sheet masks and feel some properties are stronger than others. Esp sephora masks, their pomegranate one seems to be the one my skin loves! Dr Jarts black sheet masks is my higher end fav! And tony moly masks are way thinner and easier to use than sephoras if you need something quick! So maybe trying it on this way will help, hope this helped somewhat!

I love using stuff with rose in it. Roses are my favorite flowers to start, but rosy colors are also my favorite, and having roses in my tea is really tasty. My favorite rose products are my Thayers Rose Petal Toner and my LBCC Historical Apothecary cold cream called 1901 Rose Cold Cream. It's the best thing I've ever used on my skin and I've got oily skin. And speaking of oily skin, LBCC Historical also offers a 1908 Rose Complexion powder that I use every day. If you've got very oily skin, this is the powder for it. It's light pink because it has rose powder mixed into it for scent and color. The powder is rice powder, so the texture is a little odd at first. It's slightly grainy in comparison to the really puffy loose powders I've used, like Airspun, but it's not off-putting or scratchy. It's actually really finely milled, it's just made from rice so it still has that strange texture. Dry complexions really shouldn't use this, though. It's really perfect for oily skin, because it absorbs moisture like whoa. You will end up with dry spots if you are not an oily complexion. However, LBCC also offers a powder that's really good for much drier complexions, too, though it's not rose. The 1922 French White Poudre is made from fine French white talc and has lemon and bergamot in it for scent. It smells like earl grey tea! It's super soft! Also the LBCC historical "Liquid bloom of roses" which is very much a Benetint clone that takes its recipe from the old Pear's Liquid Bloom that was popular from the 1700s to 1958. I also love to put on the Rose Balm from LBCC as well, if only as a topper on top of the tint. The new formula has more color to it and it comes out nicely on the lips. For colors, without the rose scent, I have also fallen in love with Besame reds. Besame's crimson rouge gives a very red-pink hue similar to the Liquid Bloom, but this is far more malleable than using a stain. I recommend both of them. Likewise, I also recommend the reds of Besame. American Beauty is a raspberry red and it's gorgeous. Red Velvet is a vibrant blood red. And Besame Red is a very vibrant, bright red. LBCC Historical also has a coral-pink rouge that I got because it closely resembled the coral-pink roses I love to see come out around valentines day and mother's day; it's called "La Fleur de la Jeunesse", the bloom of youth. It's really good and very moisturizing, though it only has staying power on the cheeks and not on the lips. I use a stain on my lips so I can keep the rouge around for touch ups on the go.

Yes! A very, very good and true just-roses scent. A cult classic, considered by lots of folks in the fragrance community as a HG rose for many years. And it is very affordable--I snatched up a bottle for about $10 at TJ Maxx. The only caveat is that the bottle is not much to look at. But if you want a true rose scent at a great price (and don't care about the boring packaging) it is a definite must-try.

Love this idea, 'cause I love rose scented products, too! Two night creams that smell of rose are a Perricone one and a Body Shop one. The Perricone was very nice, but wicked expensive for no reason I could see. The Body Shop's Vitamine E Nourishing Night Cream costs a fraction as much and works every bit as well. I was watching this and thinking.. Hmmm.. I can almost SMELL the roses you're talking about! Then I realized that I actually had a dozen red roses in a vase right next to me! 😭😂❤️🌹

I like to use rose water as a night time toner. It's soothing, hydrating, has healing properties and smells great. The fragrance is quite strong though, so I would recommand to people who like more sublte odours to mix it with distilled water or another non perfumed toner.

I tried The Body Shop wild roses hand cream. It was not hydrating enough for me because I have super dehydrated skin but it could work for normal skin. The scent is like proper fresh roses, it really is. It smell like my childhood's garden (300 rosebushes it was ridiculous lol) but it is a strong scent so if, like me you're sensitive to strong scents, it might not be for you :) xoxo

Jurlique's Rosewater Toner has been on my list to try for quite a while. Thank you for reviewing - I will be trying out MB Facial Spray next! I got a sample of the Jurlique Rose Serum and I am not sure how I feel about that one - Fresh's Rose Hydrating Gel Cream is in my skincare routine and I am in love. (But I do not really like the Fresh Rose Mask). I am surprised that Fresh's Rose Tinted Lip Balm is not on your Try This list - I love that stuff! Dior's Rose Lip Balm and the Aerin Rose Conditioner is on my list to try as well!

One more affordable mention of a rosewater spray that is wonderful would be the Boots Bontanics Rosewater spray 100% organic and it's sold at Target. Smells only of roses and not too strong. I love it and keep in my fridge. It's a 5 ounce bottle. Believe it sells around $10-12 dollars. ♡♡♡♡

I'm obsessed with Rose scent. I do want to try the Glossier mist. I have the Mario Badescu spray everywhere! By my bed so I can spray it first thing in the am, at my desk at work, in my purse. I love it. Thanks for giving me other things to try. I want to try the new MAC rose fix plus and the Chloe Roses perfume.
