I’m neither petite nor an “apple” shape, but the underlying principle is to know yourself and your style preferences, and wear what YOU feel looks best and what YOU enjoy wearing. Trends be damned. If they work for you, go for it. If not, ignore them, since they’ll be gone in a year anyhow!

The only thing I would say, being on the petite side myself, is she should have the jackets tailored to bring the sleeves up a tad so they don't look too long. I always have to do this with jackets. But I love the colors she chose, they add so much to the final look!

Elizabeth’s red and black outfit is flattering. It gives an illusion of height. Red suits her. Jeans-🤦‍♀️who decided that wide legged jeans of the 1970’s should be a trend. Skinny jeans may have had their day, however there is no need to switch to baggy legged jeans. A more tailored, indigo “boot leg”cut would be a way to update. Indigo jeans with a similar toned navy top would give create an unbroken visual of height. We all crave a pop of color sometimes. Maybe the long line fuschia jacket could be tapered a bit by a tailor. (The cropped red jacket would look good with indigo jeans.)
