I found it interesting that you mentioned that you like to get the dark spots out with clipper over comb when you were blending the top to the sides. I normally always start with the top so I can know what’s excess hair and use clipped over comb to quickly take that down. Then I fine tune it with the finger method you mentioned. I think that reduces my time tremendously because I only go through it twice instead of 4 times. Loved the look. You always got nugs bro keep it up!

great fade, I noticed you knocked the hair down first with a #2 guard, but later ran your 1 guard all the way up to the part line. seems like an extra step to cut all the hair twice for the fade instead of just using the 1 open to begin with. can you explain your process there?

One problem i have when i cut hair, is after the no guard open, i feel like i can never see my guidlines and i just lose myself in the blend (i am a beginner btw) idk if maybe some of my guards are messed up because i do notice some guards i use make a really loud noise and shake a lot, do u think that could be it?
@conceptbarbershop5 жыл бұрын
SidkDuri ok i know what you mean! It’s kind of hard to distinguish between the guidelines. Like you said, u kind of lose yourself. I have a solution for that. It’s hard to explain in words and much easier to explain in a video so I’ll definitely get to that on my next next video. But I’ll try to explain here now as well. Instead of making clean guidelines, u leave a dark Lin3 in between the guidelines, this will help u see the separation. Like i said easy to explain in a video and i will do so! Thank you so much for bringing this up!!

quest808 i would normally always do the #1 close unless i wanted a darker blend then i would either go with the #1 open or the #2 close. But the reason why i do #1 close is because it will easily blend from the zero guard

When skin fades go out of fashion there are going to be some awful haircuts walking the streets.It seems like the new generation of barbers only concentrate on the fades and the rest is extremely neglected. Don't mean to be negative but it winds me up.
@conceptbarbershop5 жыл бұрын
Ivan Rosario what is an awful haircut? If a whole generation of people prefer a certain haircut, is the haircut awful to them? If skin fades go out of style and the style of haircut change, barbers will adapt.
@ivanrosario2475 жыл бұрын
I think you misunderstand me. I mean that technically the top (Scissor) cut is bad. So when these skin short hairstyles go out of fashion many many barbers will not be able to do good(technically) hair cuts
@conceptbarbershop5 жыл бұрын
Ivan Rosario i think that’s the weird thing about these things, these hairstyle changes everyday. There’s no technical way to do it. Only your opinion. I too think some styles are ugly but i know it’s just my opinion. If my client wants it and pays me for it then technically it’s right
@ivanrosario2475 жыл бұрын
@@conceptbarbershop but that's the point..there IS a technically correct way of doing it .yes styles change but the fundamentals stay the same. If your trained in a shop then you are likely to only learn from the person teaching you who is teaching their teachers opinion and so on. But if you learn on a broad course(and i don't mean two months crash course) then you learn correctly how to cut e.g shape for head and correct cutting techniques/cross checking etc instead of using the thinning scissors to compensate a bad hair cut. Any way I'll leave it there.
@conceptbarbershop5 жыл бұрын
Ivan Rosario I’m not sure you have any experience in what you’re saying. Most barbers if u ask them, learned to cut hair on their own. And most of those guys that then enroll into barber school cut better then most. And if you’ve been in barber school like I’ve been then you’ll know that they don’t teach you anything in barber school. So in my opinion haha it’s ALL subjective! No right or wrong, just opinions all opinions In this case
