Best fade tutorial I've seen. You're very systematic. That's what I'm looking for. Your story inspired me. I just bought some oster fast feeds, and now I'm going to cut people's hair, mostly my own right now. I had the problem that everyone was messing my hair up and I was like f this. Lol. Now I do good fades on my hair, and this is with old andis clippers, and Wahl minis that suck because the lever keeps closing.

Guys he has a good technique but i highly recommend when fading to not constantly be going all around the head when opening your clipper or fading out guidelines. Constantly rotating your client around or you walking around them to fade every time you open your lever can get annoying for them. Instead for example if you blending up to your blade open guideline just blend it out fully up to the guideline on one side. Can do this all the way toward halfway through the back or seperate them into 3 parts left right and back. So you still working all around the head but you do less wasted motions by spinning your client so much. You can do this with every guideline. Its actually faster as well. Good cut though.

@conceptbarbershop

quest808 yes the last guard was a #1 when I’m doing touch up work I’m using just the corner of the clipper (the 3 teeth technique) when i fading a large area I’m using the full blade. Thank you so much for asking

@conceptbarbershop
@conceptbarbershop 5 жыл бұрын
68azstyle real first off i want to say that I’ve always been a fan of the masters because of the quality of their machine and their purple guards (very good guards). The cordless masters are very similar to the original. They cut very good! It’s a strong machine, the battery life is much better, the noise level is very similar to the magic clips. The magic clips are about $65 the masters are $220 big price difference. Both good machines.

Why not put the 2nd guideline with the 0 guard fully open..because after your 1st guideline you start with the 0 guard and work up till the 0 guard is open?. I have a feeling that it is just so you can have a greater difference in hair length between the 1st and 2nd guidelines so that you can see the zones better.

Hey thx for responding means a lot for us subscribers. Yea I figured that you used the 1/16 because it blends into the 1 open. but it doesn’t seem like it on the tutorial. KZbinrs mention that it blends right in. But when I watch the tutorial and other tutorials it looks like you went over exactly where you did the 1 open. Also isn’t it supposed to blend into the 1 closed not the 1 open? Would love it if you made the video on this subject. Thank you man

The premium guards are good and cheaper than the magnetic guards. They have the same performance as the purple guards. Only reason i bought them though was cause the 0 on the premium guards is like the old 0 guard that andis used to sell that they changed. The new 0 on the purple guards is terrible so i just use the premium one and it gets the job done.

I meant using the 00000 to bald out the bottom hair and then go over it with the shaver. The jump from the 00000 to shaver is a lot smaller than the 000 with magic clips to shaver jump.Using the Magic clips and then directly using the shaver will make the shave more rough.
