Only the markers she uses are cheap. The paper probably isn't. A good paper can make a huge difference, regardless of the quality of the markers you use. Or watercolors, or any other medium.

cheap alcohol markers are almost always pretty good (for the price ofc, they're gonna be a bit less good in general than more pricey markers), the ink blends well and they performs as any other alcohol markers *BUT!* the main reason why you should invest in good (and a little more pricey) alcohol markers is because the cheap ones have very little ink! i bought markers similar to the ones in the video and they worked wonderfully, FOR 3 DRAWINGS, then when painting the 4th (all my drawings are either A5 or A6, so small) they began to stop working, i *barely* could finished coloring and when i tried them in another piece of paper to see how much ink was left, the marker left almost no ink on the page, just a few faint yellow streaks, it was like 90% dried, i was very sad and angry cause even if the alcohol markers were cheaper than other markers it didn't mean they were cheap! (as my country's currency sucks so even if they were a few dollars for me it was a lot) in conclusion, cheap alcohol markers are good for seeing if you like the medium, good for young/broke artists not wanting to spend a lot for art supplies that may not be for them and good to try new colors you aren't sure if you like to use yet, but they're NOT good for someone that use markers regularly and is gonna used them a lot, you're better off spending that money buying pricey markers that will last you a long while instead of buying the cheap one that will only see you through a few drawings moral of the story? don't trust cheap alcohol markers, they may betray you mid coloring
