Fuddruckers is legitimately the best burger i’ve ever had, like Julia said the burgers by themselves are already delicious enough but once you customize your toppings at the bar it makes it that much better.

I was just watching the last episode and she said “it’s the last episode” (not for this season) and I was like nooooo. This calmed my nerves. Love this series. American food always seems too much and then I’m like I wish my country had that!

American sit down (chain) or take out food *is* too much, don't get me wrong. Also, don't dismiss the fact that it is still awesome and unique in its own way. We don't eat this stuff 24/7, no one does. (At least no one across the 70% of the country I've been through have.) It's a gastronomic delight for the once a month treat you'll be working off until next month's trip to another greasy spoon! 🤣 P.S. Not sure where you live but food trucks usually have some sort of wildness on their menus for novelty value. Might try to look for something like that to try a little bit of crazy? 😊

This was my favorite place growing up!!! The location near me closed down because the building hiked up the rent/they couldn't keep up, unfortunately... So happy to see it get the appreciation it deserves 😫

My husband still has the One Pounder Challenge shirt he won at Fuddruckers back in the 90's. One pound burger, one pound of fries, one pound of ice cream. I don't know if they still do it now, but he says that was one of his proudest moments as an 18 year old man.

The make your own salad places in D.C. use a big metal bowl and they'll toss all your ingredients for you together with the dressing. Hard agree having salads mixed is a must.

I remember being super young, and adding bbq sauce and melty cheese to my burger from the burger accompaniment station. They were in big industrial cask like containers, and it squirted out on my dish. I constantly remember those burgers, and wish I was back in that time again. :)

Oooooh, I noticed your egg on your burger is over easy, that’s amazing, I thought people forgot that fried egg option, where the yolk is nice and runny! I only ate at Fuddruckers once, I remember always wanting to eat there because, they made their own buns and, a toppings bar! My mom started her work career and ended her work career working in restaurants and,when, my mom always buttered and toasted her buns on top of the stove, even done hot dog buns that way from time to time, there’s no other way to eat a hot sandwich and, hot dog bun!
