I never knew trying a size 0 at 10 different stores would be such a learning lesson. It is so crazy how even though they are all labeled the same size they all fit so differently.

@Shari byrd this isn't about fat shaming or skinny shaming, this is about petite clothing not getting much attention. i mean, look at the backlash size 000 caused. people claim it 'promotes eating disorders' so they don't allow smaller people to get clothes their size. when it's literally only a 23-inch waist.

The "average" woman is 5'4 and 171 lbs.. Clothing manufacturers cater to the "average" and vanity size things to make women feel better about themselves. Those of us that are smaller than "average" have a hard time finding anything that fits.

Have your measured the smallest part of your waist recently? Maybe you’re actually a 00. Over the years vanity sizing has really taken over and I’ve gone from being a size 3 to a size 0-00 all without losing any weight :/ if your waist is 24 or smaller you should try 00s and if it’s 25 you could be anywhere from a 0-2 At the end of the day the only thing that matters is finding clothing that fits you so it’s important to know your measurements and shop accordingly and ignore everything else

I thought this... I have lost a few kg since trying on my size 2 (US) but now they are too loose. Bought a size 0 (US), still too big! I’m from the UK and size 2 is pretty unheard of but if 24/25 inch waist is the smallest in a size 4 (UK) they’re going they at least need a 23 inch size 2 (UK). I appreciate how they can do up to size 32 but what about the other end of the scale?

I hate vanity sizing it makes people that are naturally skinny feel even skinnier and make us feel bad about our bodies to make a fat girl think that she losing weight by wearing a smaller size. And I hate when people say omg who wears a size. but I got to keep telling myself I'm a size 3 or maybe even a 5. especially with all the stretch in jeggings people can wear a size of even smaller than what they really are.

Omg. Yes. I love that you did this. Im like a 22-23 around the waist and it is so hard to find clothes that are small or tight enough to hug and fit my body. And bra shopping is horrible too bc my bust is awkwardly bigger than the average petite girls cup size, most stores don't sell my size and i just have to cut holes into bras in order to make them a tight enough fit around my sternum. And I just avoid jeans in general unless im going for the baggy ripped jeans look with fishnet stockings underneath. Yeah i hate how ppl think its ok to pick on skinny girls' bodies

THANK YOU sooooooo very much for making this video! It has been so difficult to find a pair of jeans that fit perfectly, especially considering how jeans are sized differently for different companies. And the struggle of either having a “double butt” or NO butt is real. 😭. Thank you for this video! Its gotten to the point where I literally cannot find a pair of dress slacks (to wear to the office) that fit me! I have to order them online from loft (they don’t carry 00s in store) and even then, after a few washes, they stretch out. I went to Target and the I noticed that I couldn’t find ONE pair of slacks in a 0. The salesgirl said that they don’t make them smaller than a 2. I’m also 5’9 so I can’t wear petite pants. I can’t believe that it has become this hard to find pants that fit!

I run from a 0-2 depending on the store,and it's gotten to the point the only jeans I'll buy are Abercrombie High Rise just because I know how they'll look,but I HATE logos showing,too that way I can cover it up. It's difficult finding jeans no matter what size you are!

Meggles * I know that they’re expensive, but I only buy designer jeans because they fit so much better than other pairs. If you go to Nordstrom rack, they usually have Paige, J brand and sometimes even Hudson jeans for under $100.

Miranda Hummel Hollister doesn’t have the logo on their jeans or shorts anymore. I think the advanced stretch jeans have a small bird the same color as the jean on the back pocket but the super skinny’s definitely don’t

Same omg! But I think it’s just jealousy. Regardless, it still gets annoying. My weight has stayed the same since I was 12-13. Now I’m 18 and 98-102 lbs. It’s my genes, I can’t even control it. It’s so hard to find clothes that fit me nice, since clothing companies expect all American women to be heavy 😭

I was the same way in high school where it was like impossible to find a pair of pants that fit- when i was a sophomore I was 5'5" and a little over 90 pounds probably and when I was a junior I was about 96. Then I gained weight on purpose by binging and got up to 105 and could finally fit into a double zero at Abercrombie. Now I have hips and a butt about 37 inches around so I wear a size 2 or 3 and my pants don't slide down if the waist is a little big. before when I started sizing up I had to wear a belt though because they would. I know about different sizes fitting differently- when I was a sophomore and looked for size zeroes I found certain brands like lei that ran extra small.. then when I was a junior and got up to 96 pounds I fit into more brands that ran in a size zero, and finally when I got up to 105 I could fit into a double zero at abercrombie and I was so happy.

So I found this video 4 years later. And after losing almost 100 lbs and going from plus size my whole adult life I'm now smaller. I'm a 00/0 5'3 and although I'm right in the middle of the normal bmi range -- finding jeans is SO hard!!! And while I can usually find size 12 in the girl's section -- I usually don't like the little kids style at almost 40 😂 Thanks for the vid, made me feel less alone!!

Taking notes through this video. I'm a 25" in measurement and anywhere from a 24-27 depending on the store. I tried on every pair in nordstrom and old navy and all were too big and it's infuriating!

Actually a forever21 size 25 is equivalent to a 1 or 2, a size 24 is a zero those probably would've fit you better.

I was honestly so surprised by the Aeropostale jeans! You should definitely give them a try! Let me know what you think of them. I usually am XS in Express but I definitely think they have revamped their sizing guide because different things I have from a few years ago fit way differently than recent things I have bought. The jeans were so true to size there for me!

Honestly, I think finding jeans that fit right is kind of an issue for women of all sizes. Our jeans should go by waist & length like men’s!!!! I’m 5’9 and even when stores carry “tall” (which is rare) they’re too short!!!!! Idk how girls taller than me find anything

There are a lot of stores that carry longs online. I know White House Black Market (buy their stuff when its on sale with the extra 50% off!) Sells longs, shorts, curvys, petite, and larger sizes online. If you order at the store you don't have to pay shipping and thier jeans are super comfy. I'm a 0 curvy so, it makes it really hard for me to find jeans. But this has been a good place for me especially when there is a sale.

I used to LOVE jeans when I was a child but now its so hard to find jeans that fit!! I have a pair of shorts from zara that are a 24 but I can fit my fist in the gap and if I bend over, you can see my undies... NOT comfy because they're snug around my thighs. They should make more sizes that accommodate women with different petite bodies

the reason the conversation is mainly about plus sized people is because they lack privilege and face discrimination for their size, whereas skinny people do not. instead of directing the attention to yourself and smaller sized people by saying "but skinny girls too" you should have been preaching a message of body positivity and inclusivity for ALL sizes. additionally, it's not right to compare being called "skinny" to being called "fat" because the two words have completely different connotations in society. skinny is good; fat is bad.
