They know Shawarma because that is also very popular, they sell it everywhere even in Nigeria. They know what egusi is because it has become popular in the last 5 years or so. Do you know what "carbonara", "pappardelle" or "casoncelli" is? If I don't translate it for you? Will you know? Unless you do your research you won't know because it's not everywhere that this dishes are known. You name the food with their original name, translate it once, that way they learn to know/remember what they're eating.

For the white Rice and Stew. You use your spoon put a little stew on a small portion of the white Rice and mix a little, then scoop and eat. You have to try Egusi Soup and Eba. Edika Ikong soup and Fufu or Eba.

Kam you're supposed to put a little bit of stew on the rice and not the other way around 🙆 or better still. : get another plate and take out a smaller portion of rice : take out some stew from the stew plate just so you don't mess up the large portion of rice in case you want to keep some rice and stew for later . Note: When stew touches rice you have to either finish it or store it in your fridge if you can't or it will get spoilt

Probably, you should be able to find these around Nigerian markets there NB: If you're going to be selecting from the diverse ethnic and cultural groups in Nigeria, you'd have a very long list of foods to try. Glad you tried all this food. The moi moi is typically paired with other things. You can eat it with the jollof or use the sweet bread to make it into a sandwich and the tomatoe stew as your sauce, it will be banging. Also, it would be nice if you had the name/address of the restaurant you tried the food from that way you share the love, people can go there and experience it for them themselves. The food sure looked very good to my Nigerian eyes.

We don’t usually eat moi moi alone It is baked beans You can mash it up with the jellof rice, with the bread you had first like a cheese burger, with custard or Garri (raw) filled with either powdered milk or liquid milk and we have akara too None of you have tried akara, it’s like a fried beans buns(crips outta look but soft on the inside) can be used the same way as the moi moi

You should try kilishi ( Nigerian beef jerky), fufu(cassava ) and egusi, amala(dried yam flour fulu) and ewedu or ogbono(wild mango seed soup), ...try asun( ahsoon...goat meat cooked and fried in its own oils) Agege is pronounced agaygay bread... That suya spice you like so much is called yaji in hausa. It is a peanut, pepper, bullion cube, onion powder, ginger powder , garlic powder, clove powder, black pepper ppser dry rub that is used to coat the meat pieces before and after roasting. That seasoning you're talking about could be one of our many chicken or beef stock cubes like maggi, knorr, Mr Chef or Royco stock cubes

U can equally try Ghanaian foods as well, banku with okra, fufu with soup( palm nuts, groundnut or light soup) kelewele spicy fried plantains and many more, u will love it .

Guys the moimoi is usually served as a side dish, wirh jollof rice , salads, chicken/beef/fried fish and d fried plantains. Thats how we eat the dish in Nigeria
