These aren't typical Belgian products, but I'm happy enjoyed making this video! It was nice to watch

Hi! Yes, you had some Belgian products: Côte d'Or (chocolate bar), Crocky (Bolognèse chips) and Lotus (marshmallow bar) are Belgian brands (at least they were. You know globalization and stuff.) I don't know if pim's are Belgian but they are very popular here. So are the hosties (the translation I found is communion wafer). I love the acid powder in it. If you ever come back in Belgium, I would suggest to try any Côte d'Or products. Good stuff. If you want to try pralines (the one bite chocolate with various filling), don't listen those who say to go to Leonidas, it's not bad but it's low quality and lot of sugar. Go in a Galler shop for the pralines. Not as pricey as Neuhaus, Marcolini,... but delicious. Their chocolate bars are not so good, though, except Blanc Pistaches if you like white chocolate. And I suggest not buying Carrefour products. They are very low quality and lack taste for most of them. If you can't afford the real brands (I get it, it's already so expensive to travel) maybe go in a Delhaize (Belgian supermarket. Carrefour is French.) where their own brand has a better quality level. I almost forgot: try Jules Destrooper biscuits. Very Belgian and very delicious. All of them. 😄 Strange thing, I was always afraid of those snickers, mars, twix drinks but I want to try a snickers drink once now. You made me curious. 😋

You should have definitely from Belgium guide you around , you mist the actual Brussel waffles, and leonidas chocolate ect

You should have definitely gone with madeleine's or speculoos. I can for sure recommend those, as someone who grew up in that young country. Also, thank you for noticing just how great cote d'or chocolate is. Best choc in the country

4:29 Ouch. Carrefour White Product waffles. If at least you had taken Suzy waffles. Even if those have lost their original taste since they are made by Lotus (the original factory burned down).

Prepackaged waffles such as the ones from carrefour always have a cake like texture. If you want a crisper waffle, there is nothing better than the fresh baked Brussels waffle with just a little sugar on it, and maybe some whipped cream or some strawberries when they're in season. As for the boules de Berlin that you had at the end, that's not really Belgian. That actually is originally from Germany, where they call it "Berliner Krapfen" or ""Berliner Kugeln". I like those but prefer the ones with the pastry cream filling.

i'd get down on those marshmallow things. i noticed the brand was lotus. isn't that the company that makes biscoff? i bet that would be great with a biscoff cookie bottom instead of shortbread. p.s. when you get to Spain, the Jamon flavored lays are bomb and depending on where you go, there are these monjas in Madrid that sell fresh baked cookies through a wall in their convent. like you put your donation on a tray and they slide out your cookies and you never see them. so good though!

Côte d'or is THE Belgian chocolate brand. The bars come with many different (or no) fillings so you don't have to stick to banana. Which is not my favourite either.

Those were actually not really Belgian snacks, I mean a Mattentaart or a Frangipane, or a Luikse Wafel, or Lotus speculoos. Leonidas chocolates.... those are the good ones
