Trying Bus Life in The Mountains of Japan

Trying bus life in the mountains of Japan. We are currently road tripping Japan in our DIY self converted bus and exploring Aomori Prefecture, the most northern prefecture on the Japanese island of Honshu.
In this video, we head to the Hakkoda Mountains and visit Sukayu Onsen, Japan's biggest mixed onsen. We catch the most beautiful sunset and enjoy local Aomori cuisine inside our tiny home on wheels.

WHO AM I? I’m Shota and I left Japan at the age of 19 and spent 9 years travelling and discovering the world. In early 2020, I returned to Japan with my Scottish girlfriend Ruth and we converted an old delivery van into a DIY camper van to live in full-time. We spent 18 months doing full-time van life in Japan and visited many incredible places off the beaten path. While on our van trip, we spontaneously purchased an ex-Japanese police bus we saw for sale and took on the challenge of converting it into our dream off-grid tiny home on wheels!
