Hi boys!! What a fun gift box opening and taste testing! I love dipping my potato chips into ketchup, so I know that I would love those chips. Especially, the vinegar type. The raincoast crisps looked delicious, as did the smoked salmon and the condiments as well. Brother Satoshi…..I would love it, if you recreated the smoke salmon on ‘Kantan Food by Satoshi.’ How fun that you paired the beers with the chocolates. And those maple cookies! YUM! Thank you for sharing your gifts with us! A HUGE thank you Analie and Adam for sending you this awesome gift!

You gentlemen have a rich benefactor, I love trying different foods,but that taste extravaganza,was beyond the reach of most Canadians,and honestly I believe it would be lost on me,you gentlemen obviously have excellent palates...love the older gentleman's accent

I’m from Canada! My favourite is the smoked salmon! We eat it on a bagel with cream cheese, red onion and capers. It’s called Lox.

I think people drink "hot toddies" when they have a cold. Warms you up from the inside out and relaxes you to sleep.

From Ontario, Canada. You got a good assortment from across Canada. Only thing maybe missing is jam made from Saskatoon berries. They are only grown in Saskatchewan. Maybe someone can send you some. The ketchup chips are suppose to remind you of eating french fries-the chip,and ketchup-the spice.

I'm in the US, and we have those honey sticks mostly at farmers markets or little shops. You can usually get like 5-10 for a dollar. You open them by biting the opposite way that it's sealed. I think it was the pink lemonade one you tried. The sauces reminded me of fancy ketchup and mustard, try it on a sausage.

Fun. Although I'm in Ottawa, Canada, I've only had the Rockets and Fruit Chews (both most often found at Halloween, along with regular Tootsie Rolls and Tootsie Pops), and the chips. But it all looks yummy. Glad you guys are well. 😊❤️

I am crazy for smoked salmon. Doesn't matter what flavor it is, I toss it in honey. Those crackers are awesome, definitely a more gourmet item. This was neat seeing items from my area (BC), and then having people with a totally different cuisine give it a try. Walmart, of all places, has a "Great Value" brand of all dressed chips. You can get a big bag for a dollar. Dangerous!! They are so addicting!

Golden berries, also called physalis, are actually not a berry. They belong to the tomato family. We make hot toddy with orange juice and some rum or whisky. And those eggs were not Kinder, those are "fake" ones, with very low quality chocolate.
@plejade4125
@plejade4125 2 жыл бұрын
physalis are only kinda related to tomatoes because both are members of the nightshade family. but very different. It’s more specific a "bubble cherry" with a lot of different members in itself. The Golden Berry (physalis peruviana) is soo delicious, also the loved Tomatillo (those are not green tomatoes, it’s a physalis, only they make delicious salsa verde) thought that might interest you. I love them all I grow them myself, like 5 different kinds per season its so amazing, they really need no maintainance, so lazy :) ananas physalis is my favourit :D have a wonderful day

By the way, it’s OK to bring a limited number of real Kinder Eggs (or similar) into the US for personal consumption. It’s only illegal to import them for resale. Personally, I like the Kinder Joy eggs that are legal here more than the originals.
