Real Finnish chocolate and other snacks usually aren't that sweet. I don't think we like them sweet haha. I also noticed this when I tried some English chocolates not too long ago. They were way sweeter.
@TheWBWoman6 жыл бұрын
American chocolates, cakes, etc are super sweet. Even more than English versions. Some things here in America are disgustingly sweet. I really enjoyed the less sweet cakes and chocolates that I had in Europe but you can't hardly find properly sweetened snacks here in the US. The USA is fat phobic so they cut out the natural fats (butter, lard, milk fats, tallow, etc) in things and try to hide the bad taste with more sugar.
@Pupu836 жыл бұрын
@@TheWBWoman I honestly can't eat a mars bar without a big glass of water or i will feel nauseous (or how ever it's spelled), i'm just not used to stuff that sweet :D

@@TheWBWoman American chocolate is really really weird tasting to my Finnish mouth. My American friend sent me a box for Christmas and I really tried to be polite when thanking him, but the taste was not at all that great, so I had difficulties finding the words. Do the manufacturers put some weird ingredient to their chocolate that European manufacturers don't cos the taste is so different?
@TheWBWoman5 жыл бұрын
@@taijat Yes, sadly many Americans have never tasted normally made chocolate without all the additives so that's all they know. So much American food has awful tasting chemicals, fillers, and etc added to it. The food & chocolate was better quality when I was a kid but gets worse every year.

I'm a Finn and easiest words and names to pronounce and remember to me are Japanese, Italian and Spanish. We all have similarities in pronounciation. Japanese and Finnish have quite a few common words and names too, because of the similarity in syllables and pronounciation. Yes, we also have some sounds and syllables in Finnish that Japanese doesn't have. What's keeping me back not seriously starting to learn Japanese, is the fear of the writing system. About the candy, yeah I could eat a whole box of chocolates too, my favorite one is made by Panda. And of course in winter I drink warmed glogg.

My friend sent me last year American chocolate but I didn't like it that much. The chocolate has really weird taste on it that I European chocolate doesn't have.
