CSP >>>>>> Ps !! Give it another try if you can, because it is really a program MADE FOR drawing. I found also annoying the brush rotation but I found a use for it: if you're using 2-3 brushes for a drawing, you select them in each window and then the rotation is between this 3 and you don't need to search for them everyime. I also love that the inking/drawing (P) is separate from the painting brushes (B), it gives sense to me! And the ability to transform different layers at once is just cheffkiss!!

CSP is a dream program for me, I thought I'd never be able to do fancy stuff since I've always despised Adobe and GIMP was wonky with my tablets. There weren't any free alternatives that could do what it does back then. Their recent decisions have been questionable (but still not as bad as Adobe imho), but I have a permanent version 2.0 license and I'm unbothered.

When I first bought CSP I got so overwhelmed that I literally kept closing the program when I tried to learn it. There were functions I didn't even know how to do so I'd just swap to Photoshop to do something as simple as cropping for the longest time. Now it's my main drawing program and I love it. I feel like now I don't remember how to do certain things in Photoshop cause I'm so used to CSP now.

I’ve only been doing digital art for a year or so and using clip studio paint was a UPHILL battle for the first year. But it was 100% worth it because now I’m much more comfortable with the medium and appreciate the hours I spent just exploring and playing with brushes/pencils/effects etc

for black and light values- you can add another layer on top, clip it to the colored layer below, and color the clipping layer white or black and select color/value whatever for layer options

amazing work under pressure! and once you discover more of the tools and shortcuts, being able to customize your workspace, i think you'd love it. i came from photoshop on the mac and now on CSP on the ipad. i love it so much more. and with simple mode now, you can have a bit more focused drawing window, like on procreate.

Jackie, clip studio paint is my chosen program but even I can't finish a piece in an hour. Heck, I haven't even finished one yet but I'm trying. Finsihed pieces are hard 🥲

I was like "Use a mouse wheel, why do you need a zoom tool??" and then I remembered that for some reason photoshop can't zoom on a mouse wheel :'D Great drawing by the way!

I love csp for it being much cheaper and giving us an incredible drawing, animation and comics in one software…it’s literally the only software I use now beside for audio and editing And the inbuilt 3D models too!

I think part of the reason you get lost looking at the drawing is because the silhouette is covers by such similar hair color in the back. Leaving some open or changing the color a bit would help. For your first time on clip studio this is so good though! Learning new programming is hard
