I haven't been to Chili's in years. I use to love there mushroom swiss burger and the bone in buffalo wings. For happy hour they use to give free chips/salsa and buffalo wings. Their margurita was also very good!! They now have smash burger that is suppose to be like a big mac. Maybe give that a try. They were known for their baby back ribs ( they had a commercial promoting it with a catchy tune). Maybe give that a try!!🌶 I hope Matt's surgery went well.😊

I'm a diabetic too, I just learned something new. I was definitely lukewarm on the chicken sandwich. Chili's to me is solid bar food so I knew what to expect. It wasn't too disappointed by what I got but I don't think I need to hop on it again. What I SHOULD have gotten was any of those burgers. I'm mad that I didn't. (By the way, food hack: if you want a big salad with your meal and you order out, get the salad as an appetizer and a side and combine it.)

Any time I order corn on the cob at Chilis it's always rubbery and weird. I almost always order steamed brocolli. My kid always tries to get away with mashed potatoes and fries, but she is only allowed 1 of the 2 and her 2nd is almost always brocolli too! (She's 10)

I haven't had Chili's in about a decade. There's only one that I am aware of in about a 100 mile radius of me. I'm not even positive that one is still open. I remember there used to be two options for the tenders. Once battered (which I preferred) or double battered. All the ones I saw you eat were the latter. Maybe the first option isn't even a thing anymore? Edit: I just googled and there are only six Chili's in Iowa, the nearest to me being 84 miles. So definitely not worth the trip 😅

Not to gross you out but I know why all of the chicken strips texture was off. If I'm not mistaken they make their strips from scratch and I don't believe they remove the white piece of tendon that runs down the length of the tenderloin. It will be chewy or rubbery like gristle on a steak. I prefer my chicken strips to be made using the breast meat instead just cut smaller like the tenderloin. I've found most restaurants will almost always overcook my steak so I order mine rare in the hopes that it will be between medium rare and medium.
