On the erdtree great bow, If you use the ash of war with the golden great arrows, It provides a shortened golden vow buff

You don’t need the erdtree greatbow or the AOW! The ErdT GB will have a bonus damage modifier when shooting the Holy Great-arrows, but the Golden Vow buff is on the Arrow, not the bow. You can shoot the ground near allies to golden vow them on any GB!

Something you didn’t mention: the great holy arrows (the ones you were using with the red tree great bow ) actually casts golden vow where the arrows land, i think it only works for friendly characters like you, summons and spirit ashes but it’s kinda cool if you are going to be in the back and let others tank

Using the elemental arrows on bows like the Albinauric bow kind of gimps them in PvP. Since the magic arrows you used only deal a sad 85 magic damage, once that is through the opponent’s defenses it’s not gonna amount to much. And of course the elemental arrow only adds 15 physical damage to the bow's base damage so it's not helping much there either. You might as well use a pure physical damage arrow to add to the Albinauric bow’s nearly 300 AR. Then you’d be hitting for 350+ AR total which would probably be a lot better.

The range bonus on the pulley bow means increased damage beyond close range. That makes it my favorite pve bow for dealing real damage (not status effects)

As a bow main please just use the black bow (+10) it’s a somber long bow with the light bow moves (barrage ash of war by default) use lightning arrows and sleep arrows, bows are really good punishing tools and are not easily countered

Enchanted Shot on the Albinauric bow with my dex character has served me very well in a number of invasions. It's reliable good damage at long range.

about the serpent bow: i also really wanted barrage on it, BUT, the mighty shot not only helps agains shields and do more damage, but also applies more status! ;) So its still a very powerefull and versitile ash, as far as bows goes.

The serpent bow is the absolute STRONGEST for burst damage and status application, with an optimized build, 4 to 5 serpant arrows will poison the target, and 6 to 7 will sleep them, at high level depending on level, armours and resistances, these are the brackets for my build, if ash of war lands however, it will 1 hit sleep, or poison the target, bleed is weaker for this arcane build however i suggest 2 serpent bows one offhand at all times for the extra poison per shot on ANY bow amd arrow for max poison and a secondary mainhand black bow for barrage and movement. The build goes razy at low or high level, not as strong at meta level. Edit: It's approximately 103 poison from the 2 bows and serpant arrow alone. Since the bow scales arcane, the number increases with it as does damage. HOWEVER the ash of war adds a static 170 status build up making the landed shot give 273 poison unless blocked, St. Trinas arrows give 96 sleep, so with a serpent bow offhand you will do 96 sleep plus scaling and 15 poison on ash of war hits it gives 266 sleep plus scaling and 15 poison. Please note that the innate poison doesn't scale, but rather stacks. The black bow with serpant bow offhand applies 93 poison and if using St. Trinas arrows its 96 sleep+15 poison per shot but has significantly more mobility and speed along with barrage as it's ash. No scaling. This means you can backstep shoot, roll shoot, and jump shoot, I just wish bows had BHS or Quickstep. All this info was tested against BOTH players (rl 220) and the warmaster bhernal and is accurate.

There is 6 other category left apart from main categories which is Crossbows,Ballistas,Glintstone staffs,Sacred seals and Tools that have 4 damaging item(Wraith calling bell,Omen bairn,Regal omen bairn,Ancestral infant's head) and there is shileds too if you count

Outside of the carian regal scepters weapon art theres zero difference between casting tools other than their scaling so there's nothing to showcase there, but shields could be a fun one. I love pure greatshield strength builds

17:55 I believe they are called skeletal slimes. I almost never bother fighting them because unless you have fire damage they are rather tanky, plus they are incredibly slow and do no damage so you can easily ignore them. Also, Great video! If I may ask, why are you always level 125 in these videos? Have you ever thought of grinding for more levels? That might allow you more build versatility and give us a better showcase of these weapons.

Composite bow all the way. Bow only build, it has helped me significantly, it's lightweight, so pairing light load with it and the talisman to increase damage the less you wear, the jump into landing attack combo does wonders. I think it has a slightly faster firing rate than the other bows. Simple and fun.

I can make sense of Pages dropping shortbows! A crossbow is a shortbow attached to a stick. Would it be better if the Red-Branch was a trick weapon? Yes! But also, likely useless because crossbows… are bad. Although, coming to think of it, there would be a bit of utility in switching from arrows to bolts with a single weapon to cause different statuses.

Sky shot is so bad in pvp even when people voluntarily didn't move whatsoever it still missed consistently. I had placed red signs while named "testing something" and arrows would land slightly behind them

It is insane to me on how bad an oversight they had with Through and Through being an ash of war you can pick up. It is legit wasted code. Almost every greatbow has that ash of war on it by default, and any that don't can't be changed anyway. There is not one purpose at all for it to be used, because you can't even change affinities on bows either
