They have the best hornado. Andres found some buns and we made pork sandwiches with ahi. OMG. Took a bag full of totilla's home. Your video makes me so hungry. Thanks.

The food was amazing. Best ever. The ahi ..every place that we've had is so good. Nice and fresh. I'm kicking myself for not grabbing some of the tortillas. Next time, getting several. Thanks again for watching. I'm making myself hungry just talking about it 😂😂

@@ericandsandy On the North end of Las Herrerias [say that 5 times] and on the East side of the street there is a lady that has a grill [tiendo] outside her little restaurant. I really like her choclo tortillas. If you can't find her several places on the street sell them. And that's the street for tamales. Mmmm. Now I'm hungry. On my way to Taco Bell. Don't judge me.

I love how you are fascinated about ají. It is possibly one of the things I miss the most from Ecuador, where I'm from. The one I miss the most is the aji de mani (peanut aji). Enjoy Ecuador!

We love all aji..every single one that we've tried .. they're all so flavorful and tasty.😋😋. I don't think we've tried the peanut aji. We've had peanut sauce but I'm pretty sure that's not the same. Now we'll be on the lookout for the peanut aji. Thank you for watching and have a wonderful day.

Cuy still on my list. Best looking tortillas I've seen. Biggest empanadas too! Ever seen Woody Allen's movie "Sleeper"?😉 I think I like that Mercado better than our #10 Octubre. You really stuck your hoof in your mouth! (Don't block me - I'll stop🤣) I like that you aren't afraid to try different things. Cuy next time!

Awesome video!! my favorite quote: we almost got run over, that's ok 🤣🤣🤣 always a possibility walking our streets, gotta keep an eye out for reckless driving at all times, loved the little out take at the end aswell, very hard to eat that soup, you need extra tools to disect that hoof, as for the cuy you can to Guajibamba in Cuenca to try 1/4 of the whole thing, a good size portion as far as I can tell. Keep up the great work!! 👏👏👏

For me it's like being a kid again and being told, "how do you know you're not going to like something until you try it". My grandpa introduced me to trying adventure some foods as a kid. Things like frog legs, alligator, octopus, and oysters. And let's face it there's nothing appetizing about the way an oyster looks, but I think they're delicious. You gotta be willing to try these things once at least. And I truly believe that food is a great way to get to learn about the people and culture of any new place that you travel to. And Ecuador is full of adventuresome and interesting foods that I cannot wait to try! Thanks for watching and your comments. Now go try something out of the box to eat! You might just love it!

I love ❤️ food from Ecuador 👌👌 the original caldo de Pata it’s spectacular, the one you tried is not good lol for me 😅 and the guy told you that the peanut sauce stew is with pork belly? And it is with beef not pork ! Lol the main problem in Ecuador 🇪🇨 it’s that not everyone knows how to cook. With the real flavor …. So you have to be lucky 🍀 with yummy food in 🇪🇨

Nice video. I love that I was in that market when we visited Gualaceo. I loved all the juices I tried. Tamarindo was great. We were not fans of Cuy. Too much work for too little meat, not amazingly tasty, and a bit creepy.

That market was fantastic. So many varieties of everything. I wanted to get all the different beans. I also love all the different vibrant colors in the fruits and veggie sections. I think Tamarind is now my favorite juice..right after horchata. haha.. they are all so good, it's hard to choose a favorite. One of our friends told us about a place where you can get 1/4 cuy to try. I think Eric is going to go check that out. Thanks again for watching. Have a wonderful day.

Eating Guinea Pig is original from Peru, where it is been found evidence of thousands of years. .. .. We can see arqueological pottery ( huaco ) with this little animal in the Moche Culture ( Moche AKA Mochica) . Keywords -> CUY + HUACO + MOCHE . Ecuador has been smart and has begin to eat cuy the last 50 or 100 years, what is good, but replicating CUY AL PALO ( peruvian dish ) is not good. They should create their own dishes using guinea pig
