The delay you are feeling is not all because of the Xbox, quite a lot of the delay is because you are use to 240fps not 120 and that is quite a big jump.

Just for anyone wondering you do NOT need a 2.1 HDMI port to play the new next gen consoles. You simply need a 1.4 HDMI port the only downside is you’ll be playing at 1080p which is what you should be playing at anyway.

Just upgraded and i didn't think so either but today i was in settings and enabled low latency mode which disables 120hz and GD I was hurting but hey if your tight on cash save up a hundread bucks sell your current console for a hundread if its xbox and you can get 150for a PS4 and get a Series s on offer up for about 200 thats what i did before i got the x

The controller turns off because that’s the default setting in the Xbox settings - or you can plug in a cable that it comes with, this will also reduce the delay in your sound - hope this helps🙏
