So cute! Yes after getting the effect you like on one nail do a 15 sec flash cure to lock the magnetic particles. Then you could do another coat and do design in different direction!

If u do a square side u can make multiple slanted lines by putting it slanted in different areas of the nail and it will come out striped

Been low key stalking you all week but had to comment on this one cuz I love love love this set. You make me want to try acrylics again. Is the KS monomer low smell? That's my main concern.

hey!! thanks so much. the kiara sky monomer is actually very low odor. i’m probably just used to it by now, however, compared to other brands is now that strong. also, not polish has monomer neutralizer drops to mask the smell if you wanted to see what it’s about.

I do enjoy your designs... I'm curious as to Why do you do so much off camera? Do you still enjoy doing nails after doing KZbin?

at times it can be very repetitive. i have some viewers that prefer to watch the filing and some that don’t. so i try to do an equal balance. and other times i just don’t feel like recording it or i have other things to do, and its faster to just do it off camera. i do still enjoy doing my nails even after a few years in! ☺️

Not to send you away from Kiara Sky …but Young Nails just launched a “extreme low odor “ acrylic system that they are claiming is the lowest odor while still being a user friendly system (lots of low odor systems are super slow setting and annoying to work with) I haven’t bought this system (I have way too much supplies as it is) but I would suggest if you’re a DIYer working in your own home (and with family who will complain about the smell) to give their system a try. I trust that company to have put their all into making a user friendly low odor system. I haven’t busted out my acrylic since I’ve gotten some pet frogs because I’m worried the odor is going to bother their delicate respiratory systems. So I may try Young nails if I get the acrylic itch again. Been focusing on gel and gel x lately due to the odor issue. (My nail play desk is in my main living area sadly- so I have to think of others, people and frogs- ha)

@@thechubbygeekgirl I decided to get some young nails low odor after all. They do have a sample kit for $21 (but shipping is $10 if you don’t spend $50) so I got the sample kit plus a bottle of that monomer ~$20 and one tub of acrylic ~$13?… so I can try all the colors (and have enough white for a French set and clear for maybe one set of encapsulation or clear base layer ) and not buy the full kit ($110ish) which has more than I need and items I have plenty of already. So for around $60 I got just what I needed for a a DIYer to try it out, while not paying way to much with shipping for just the sample kit (even though their sample kit IS a good deal) If you don’t have all the extra supplies that come in their big kits I recommend getting that. It’s an extremely good deal (I added it up separately and wow, it’s a steal) It literally has everything you would need and more. Worth saving up for (they may have another sale before Christmas- subscribe to their channel to watch for sales) I’ll try to remember to come back and let you know what I think once I get to try it!

I didn’t do a set yet (doesn’t it suck that life interferes so much with nail time??) but I opened the bottle and poured some out in a dampen dish and left it open to air for awhile to see how it lingered and if I’d smell it or family would mention smelling it. They didn’t. I couldn’t smell in at all in the surrounding areas or really even close to my desk Of course nose right up to bottle it smells like monomer but not the “jump back” level like if you nosed a normal monomer that close. (Which you probably shouldn’t do-ha) So perhaps when actually doing a set it will be noticeable in the immediate area but I’m confident it’s going to work out for me and my situation (and my animals)☺️ Hooray for being able to do acrylic again!
