Super interesting to watch you slurping those springy noodles. Yeah, MEE KOLOK, a specialty of Kuching, Sarawak. A trip to Sarawak is incomplete if one doesn't taste it. Wow, it's very generous of the boss to offer you 2 types of drinks for free. FYI Chu, we used "Hao Zhi" for food and "Hao Her" for drinks. Actually mee kolok is the Malay version of original Chinese kolok mee of Sarawak. Among the Chinese community, we call it kolok mee or kolo mee. The Malay version is mee kolok which is darker in colour and also tastes sweeter because dark soy sauce is added but they use the same type of mee.

welcome back to Kuching oppa!!! you should try these: 1. Mee Jawa Pak Awang at Lorong Kai Joo near Plaza Merdeka 2. Legendary Char Kueh at Sheng Hui Cafe, Kai Joo Lane 3. Tomato Crispy Mee with egg at Ann Loke Hui 4. Sotong pulut at Uptown Cafe Metrocity 5. Lei cha at Big Hand Food Station 6. Mee belacan 7. Kueh chap at any food court - you can go to Premier Food Court at Stutong 8. Sotong tutuk - can ask around for location 9. go to Gala City Food Court to try out various foods from various stalls..you will never want to go home if you go there 10. Mee kolok Hj Salleh at Satok 11. Kampua mee (Sibu local mee) at any food court 12. Nasi Aruk Terubok Masin - err try to google for Malay restaurant coz im not sure where 13. Kek Lapis Sarawak - try ati parek and masam manis 14. Ice cream gula apong (the stall somewhere at waterfront) 15. Swee Kang Ice Kacang 16. for dinner you can go to The Lepau to try local cuisine like manok pansoh (chicken cook in bamboo), midin belacan and many more 17. Mom’s laksa.. this laksa taste very rich compared to chinese made laksa coz i think they use evaporated milk..yummss as always 18. Kolo mee special- same as original kolo mee but they add intestines, fish ball and fish cakes, liver etc omg many many moreeeeeee
