The white vege is called Jicama. The sauce is sweet because they use also sweet potatoes and other herbs and spices. The big square shaped food is called "fuchuk" or bean curd skin. I agree with you Chu, i cannot live without cendol.

The famous cendol stall is not nice!! The opposite one taste better and more delicious!!!😊😊

I used to rate both stalls as equal in standard. However, for some time now, I’ve been avoiding the famous one (below the wall painting) because it’s taste was watered down for a season. Later it improved when their employed foreign workers weren’t dispensing the chendol anymore. I find the famous one is again not consistent in taste .. as a week ago, I found the coconut milk proportion and the chendol quantity noticeably less. Thus the syrup was not lemak (creamy) enough and chendol content becoming thin and disappearing by the 3rd or 4th scoop onward (with those usual plastic spoon size). The stall opposite the famous one is more consistent in quality, friendly in service and all too willing to add on extra ice shavings should you find the gula Melaka a tad too sweet for your liking. Let’s say the stall opposite the famous one has not disappointed me ever while the one with the long queue had on more than three occasions.
