Monkeys Corner is the brainchild of Masterchef Indonesia star and celebrity chef Arnold Poernomo who is a co founder of KOI Dessert Bar (together with his brother Reynold Poernomo) that serves up the most instagrammable desserts in Sydney
Monkeys Corner provides a savory alternative to their ever growing dessert fan base capitalizing on Arnold’s extensive culinary experience which includes his popular cooking show Catatan chef Arnold (chef Arnold notes), many restaurants in Indonesia (e.g. NOMZ Kitchen) and judging Masterchef Indonesia from seasons 3 to 10!
It is part of the three tier dining experience at the brand new KOI venue at 6 Central Park Chippendale Sydney
Evoking Izakaya style vibes Monkeys Corner serves up eclectic cocktails and a carefully curated wine, beer and sake list
They also have a pretty lit Asian fusion menu. This is everything we had and reviewed
Beef fat potatoes, trout roe, bonito cream ($24)
Grilled pork - charcoal roasted pork, galbi Mayo ($18 each)
Chilli Crab Noodles - pasta noodle with handpicked crab meat and chilli crab sauce ($38)
Wagyu striploin msb 5+ - signature onion sauce 200g ($52)
Steamed vanilla sponge, strawberry crumble and orange blossom gelato
Geisha Cocktail and Monkey Spritz
