i know a lot of people had a terrible experience with the pastel palette, and if you can’t make it work then i definitely know that’s it’s not for me. i loveeee the merit lipstick and DM liners!!! the kvd contour looks beautiful on you. ♥️♥️♥️

It’s interesting to various opinions about a given product especially one that is $65. I have considered buying the Natasha Danone glam palette but now I am much more hesitant to let go of my money for that particular product. There’s just a lot there that I probably won’t use for such a high price point.

@@tammyeaton4791 i couldn’t agree more. i own the ND mini love, which was a gift, and that’s the only ND palette i own. i’ve always wanted and lusted over the glam palette and the only time i had a gift card to buy it, it was sold out and has yet to come back in stock. but do you know what i do have?!?! the colourpop stone cold fox. yes, i know it’s not the same as ND but it’s still an alll cool toned palette and it’s a very beautiful palette and i love colourpop’s quality of their shadows. 🤍🤍🤍

@@biogirl1381 Colourpop IS good. I just bought the So Fly palette. This quality is AMAZING. I already have the Natasha Janelle to grandpa it and will probably be be purchasing it once I hit pan on several of the colors. I’ve heard good things about the stone cold fox palette but I just don’t buy pallets that large any longer. An 18-pan palette is about my limit, as i has small spaces and palettes larger than about 30 pan get REALLY redundant. Colourpop has managed to avoid this. Enjoy!

I heard a lot of people hated the ND pastel palette. I’m so sad it didn’t work out for you either. 🥺 The pastel palette I picked out instead was the new nomad cosmetics paradise palette.

I agree that the eyeshadow looks patchy. I wasn’t attracted to it when it came out. The DM looked pretty and loved the blush too. Loved seeing REN and Lani!

I got the BH Cosmetics Lost in LA palette a couple months ago and love it! It’s a pastel palette and I feel like it’s really pretty good knowing that pastels are harder to formulate. Definitely try it if you want a pastel palette that’s affordable and not patchy!

Video idea 🥰💡 for me atleast, it would be SO helpful to see a side by side of good vs poor base/complexion products or application. I’d so appreciate (suuper) close ups of the undereye/ face product application kinda showing what you consider a good application vs problems (clinging, patchiness etc). I have dry under eyes and I feel like I can’t get them to look good with concealer but I’ve never rlly seen how even my fav influencers’ concealer looks up close- So it’s hard to know if it’s something I’m doing and if I can achieve better!

Had no idea the way my foundation sat on the skin wasn’t the norm until Lauren Mae beauty showed a superrrr close up of a foundation she didn’t like because it was breaking up. until then I rlly thought that was a thing everyone dealt with daily. Helps to have a reference!

I’m so shocked right now because I recently picked up the pastel palette and I love it. For me, I change my technique to more packing motions as I would for any pastel palette and it works well for me. I also don’t use a white base underneath, I just do my regular eye primer and powder

thank you for actually giving the palette a shot and trying different looks and shades and methods. So many times youtubers just stick to one regardless of outcome and keep it moving never trying to palette again...this is actually more realistic of someone actually trying to make a palette work and giving it a fair shot!

the KVD gel contour is my faveeeeeee! I use it as a bronzer/contour two in one (for the summer I may add in a little more warmth), but it is great for my pale skim because almost everything else just makes me orange

I used your code on the PMG Bridgeton season 2 palette. I has been wanting the ND pastel palette but am now thinking I will stalk PMG to see if the season 1 palette returns as I am doubting I could pull off solid colour as opposed to a more glitter topper blue. The pastels may have been a fail but it is still helpful!

Omg i LOVE the natasha pastel palette! Its one of the best make up items ive ever bought I think ppl expect massive colour payoff and to be really bold and bright like indie brand colours...they are like water colour and a soft wash of colours. I use the p louise eye base or shadow insurance under it and have no issues. But yea if you hate it return it.

I don’t think people expect bight and massive colour payoff from pastels but we do expect is good quality and even pigment distribution which this palette wasn’t for many others and I. Happy it works for you! :)

I ended up binning my KVD contour. It pulled reddish on my skin too, and ended up looking like dirt smears. I'm far happier with the Patrick Ta in terms of tone & the control I get from the cream vs liquid.

I've been trying to decide whether to pick up the ND Pastel palette or the new Clionadh one for the spring/summer since they've both got pros and cons for me. In the end I've built my own Lethal Cosmetics palette with pastel mattes and a couple of multichromes 😅 I'm glad I skipped the ND palette if it's really hard to use, I have no patience with eyeshadow haha

I would like to see you try the pastel palette over an opaque primer or a white base like the NYX Milk pencil or something of the sort. I wonder if they would work better! But it truly sucks that these can't be apply as is for a quick look

That palette def has a learning curve. It makes me feel better that it’s not just me struggling! They’re def patchy at times. The best looks I’ve had are using the pink shades.

Elizabeth Arden has a Gel Bronzer called “Bronzing Gel Pearls” very similar to the KVD counter gel and it´s so beautiful! Perfect for no make up kind of days

You're not the only one, I've seen a few discouraging reviews about the ND Pastel Palette 😬! Maybe if she releases a mini version it would be more worth it, and maybe that one will work better! It's a shame. I love the look of a pastel eye shadow, but they never look as pretty on the skin as in the pot. I have had some good results when I mix a more pigmented eyeshadow in with the Danessa Myricks colorfix matte shade in "Lift" (the white one), but who wants to go through all of that for one eyeshadow?? I have a similar experience with the Lilac palette from Huda Beauty. The pale pastel lilac color just don't apply nicely, and I have to pack that b**** on! The struggle is real.

That is sad that the palette did not work out. I think you should try the BH Cosmetics Lost in Los Angeles Palette! That one has a really nice formula while still maintaining pigmentation in the mattes and metallics :)

The only thing I can think of for the palette is to put down a cream white base (like ABH or KVD) before putting those powdery shades down. But if that doesn’t work, definitely return it. 🙁

I'm feeling anxious as well, but for me it's because I have an important exam next week. The ND pastel palette looks nice, but me being olive toned, pastels always look horrendous and ashy on me. It does look nice on fair and cool skin tones though
