I had a look back to what type of pantry set up you have and it's one of the adjustable shelf ones so you have a few options. 1. If you generally only use smaller items then you might consider getting/making a couple more shelves and either add them in so you have more shelves and can keep pantry items closer to the front, or double up on each shelf. The melamine finish is fairly slick on itself and will make sliding it out pretty easy - just remember to add a small handle at the top front of each sliding shelf so that there is somewhere easy to grip. 2. Rectangular woven baskets tend to be larger and might be easier to find for the specific purpose you mentioned - being able to pull out a tray. 3. To keep the shelves and have the best fit, you can make the trays/drawers. 4. You can remove the shelves and retrofit the pantry with drawers and soft-close runners. Last two are a bit more work but can be aesthetically, much more pleasing.

Hi Janice!!! You completely knocked that garlic shrimp and pasta dish OUT OF THE PARK!!! Well done!!! We have this dish at least once a month here at home... and I love to throw some lemon juice (just a tablespoon or so) or some nice dry white wine (i.e. Chardonnay). I loved that you also added butter to your sauce... butter makes everything BETTER, and more luxurious! Great video Janice! You have come a long way in your cooking skills, your confidence and your experimentation. I think that is really great. Also, another suggestion... towards the end it looked like your pasta was a bit dry in the pan. Reserve (always reserve) some of the pasta cooking water to add to your final coming together of the pasta and "stuff" and I mean that as only a suggestion. For the pantry, I went to Big W and got the bamboo spice rack and stacking basket from the LT Williams range, both are great and they had other stuff! I use the spice rack for tea as well as spices, it’s really useful to have things at different heights so you can see them more easily

If you add some of the pasta water say 1/4 of a cup with the pasta into the pan, it’ll give some creaminess to the dish. 🙌🏽

Try Kmart for storage. Either a Lazy Susan or the Wide & Low Roller Storage Compartment. Both great for deep pantry shelves.

Hey Janice, we had the same issues with our pantry. There are some slide drawer things at Howards Storage, but they’re a bit pricey. Another good tip is we found some longer storage containers/trays at Bunnings Gladesville that also did the trick!

Hi Janice! Loved your video. We can’t wait to check out that HK cafe in Rhodes Central. We tend to take a photo of the nearest pole(?) in the carpark that indicates the section, and the shop closest to the carpark entry from the shopping centre. Your pasta looks amazing btw. Lazy Susan turn tables work fantastic for pantry spaces , so of you want something from the back of the pantry space just spin your lazy Susan around, works great on fridge shelves as well

We love going to Rhodes Central too~~ Not as busy as other shopping centers. I love the grilled sweet potatoes in that Yangga Foods store. Haven't tried HK street food yet. Remember seeing them prepare for the opening day the day before. Have to go soon~~~

i have a suggestion for the arrangement. Maybe you could draw out the layout interior of the cupboard and indicate where the items are. But for me what i usually do is, i will fill the back of the spaces that i can not reach with stuffs that i dont usually use. Hope it helps..

Trying adding a splash of white wine, a bit of olive oil and pasta water … stir to emulsify it and with that butter and parsley will create an even more aromatic prawn based pasta sauce

Kmart has long drawers for the cupboard, also try the baked cheese seafood rice from the seafood store Costis in Rhodes Central, it's a Hong Kong style seafood fried rice, then baked with cheese.

Ok, so for you pantry, you may be able to fit drawers inside, i.e. drawers inside a cupboard. The only issues is the narrowest that IKEA goes is 40cm, or an internal dimension of 364mm. If that works for you, have a look at MAXIMERA drawers and the UTRUSTA drawer fronts.

Deep kitchen shelves are a pain. And IKEA have terrible shelf organisers that don’t quite fit the deep shelves and waste a lot of space. Daiso have some long, narrow plastic shelf organisers, I use them in our very deep fridge for all the condiments. Another alternative is to buy those narrow oval Tupperware knock off containers from K-mart for your dry goods, which you can store 2 rows ideep . Because they’re narrow you can fit a few side by side.They stack easily, and cause they’re easy to handle it’s not too annoying to access the containers in the back of the cupboard. Or get some of the larger Decor containers for the back of the cupboard & fill them with multiple packets. Eg. I have separate boxes for Indian spices, or baking ingredients, or packets with various dried fruit. They’re things which I use less often, so then I just pull out the large box from the back of the cupboard. My best tip: measure all the shelves you need to fill and keep the measurements on your phone (I take a photo of the cupboard and mark the dimensions on that. So when you’re shopping, you can make a more informed decision about what might fit.

There’s a new HK restaurant on Adderton Rd Telopea... take away only! But their radish cake is fantastic! Large block for you to take and slice and cook yourself! Recently opened! And there’s a new Sushi place in an unassuming area... Oatlands NSW. Its called Tamaro Sushi... only opened two wks ago... but TOP quality produce. Their Unagi Don Buri is the 💣!

Every few months Aldi have a selection of fridge organisers which may be helpful with your cupboard issues. I can't say I was excited by the street food place, too much intestine and skin for a whitey like me but the garlic prawns looked pretty good.
