There is a porcelain shade in the Laura Gellar. I mix the fair and porcelain but can wear the fair alone if I apply lightly. I prefer the neutral undertone in the fair. The porcelain has a lot of white in it so I sometimes use it as a brightening powder. It’s too white on me to wear alone. I wish they would add a shade between porcelain and fair with a neutral undertone. When I was younger and oilier I wore powder foundation exclusively for years. As I got into my late 30s I found that they were too drying and emphasized my lines and dry patches. But somehow the Laura Gellar always works. I think because it’s a baked product that starts as a cream it tends to be more flattering on mature skin. I actually keep one in my car so I can quickly put something on my bare face before running errands. It’s my emergency foundation lol I have heard wonderful things about the blushes and bronzers but haven’t tried them yet. Enjoy your videos!

It's funny to see brands like Laura Geller, Mally and Pür finally on KZbin. All three brands have been available in Australia for many years, which is how long I've been using some of these products at quite reasonable prices too. I've got both the Laura Geller and Pür Powdered Foundations. I do find that they can look slightly flat on my skin after awhile, so would recommend a product to highlight the skin in some way. Tread lightly around the eye area too, as wrinkles can appear where they've never been before. For convenience sake alone, a powdered foundation is wonderful. Dior can do no wrong with their Quints. They have a colour story for everyone. As much as I like some colour, a softer palette is just as welcome and they will always look beautiful. Thanks Jen.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨

I recently retried Laura Geller foundations and I'm totally hooked. I would suggest you get the shade Porcelain. The kabuki brush is the recommended tool for application. The denser the brush, the heavier coverage. If you use the brush extended all the way, it's lighter coverage.

I am very fair, but the porcelain color was much better for my skin tone. The fair made me look orange. I am hooked on this foundation. It’s beautiful and feels lightweight. Thanks for the video. ❤

Hi Jennifer! What a treat to see you trying LG products - I have been curious about this brand. I agree the fair shade is a bit too deep for you - I think the porcelain shade would work on you. The blush is pretty - so unfortunate that it’s “in a million pieces.” (I hope LG is available in Canada.) I thank you for also featuring the Dior Amber Pearl quint - and showing how it applies. It looks great on you - it is indeed workplace appropriate and elegant. Great video!

I am in my late 50’s with very dry skin and I use the LG powder as setting powder (when I’m too dewy after SPF, foundation, etc.) and it is gorgeous when applied with a fluffy brush. Undetectable but effective.

Great video and thanks so much for sharing your experience. I like the look you achieved. However, like others here, I do suggest the Porcelain for the Balance and Brighten foundation powder. Yes, you can look a little ghostly at first....just use the Light Bronzer and Brighten as well as the Porcelain/Light Baked setting powder and you should have the great match you are looking for. I have very fair skin like yours only with rosacia, broken capillaries, and age spots...colors are corrected and blemishes are neutralized with my face and neck tones matching. I am 60 yrs old with very dry skin so I also use LG moisterizing spackle primer too. I just love the Laura Geller line! All my best to you.

You’re lighter than me, but I found that the LG light shade was too dark for me. Porcelain was better, but both shades oxidize throughout the day, particularly over just sunscreen. There was less oxidation over sunscreen plus primer, especially the Surratt Perfectionista primer. None of my cushion or liquid foundations had the same level of oxidation over the Surratt primer. Unfortunately, because I’m much more oily in the summer, I don’t want more “stuff” on my face. It’s a nice product and I’d love to see LG address the oxidation problem. Thanks for the video!

Laura Geller should have sent you Porcelain for foundation. Don't know why they didn't. Gets rid of redness though. They sent you the lightest blush they make. It works but there are better colors. I would have picked Pink Buttercream. When I wear powder foundation and powder products over it, I take a damp washcloth and press it into my skin, when my makeup is finished, to get rid of excess and it make the powders look dewy. I favor powder foundation and found this one some time ago on KZbin. I adore it. I use medium, and do own the kabuki brush. The brush is good (you can adjust it for coverage preference), though I prefer my Smashbox powder foundation brush. You have given me the idea to put my LG kabuki brush in my travel bag, given the protective case. Thanks for the video.

I love Laura Geller! I use the Baked Balance for everyday foundation and Glow and Quench and Tint for tinted moisturizer in the summer! I don't have their brushes though. Maybe I should pick them up...

after having hesitated and watched this video, I purchased the Dior Amber Pearl palette. I was hoping for something easier to wear than coral palsy, which I have, but is very pigmented, actually too much for my fair skin (my natural colors are moderately contrasted). What I find is that 3 of the colors from Amber pearl are very close, or identical to Coral Pasely : the two top colors are the same as the lightest color from coral paisley and the middle color (which on my skin is already quite orange), and the warm brown looks really close once applied. I'll wear it more in summer. For the moment, my preferred one is beige couture, which I wear every day and works well on my skin tone (a warm light neutral).

Wayne Goss's latest vid is about the LG powder foundation. From the points you and Wayne have highlighted, it seems that sue needs to introduce more shades. My concern is the undertones - Do they have different undertones available? As someone with olive tones, it means the difference between a great colour for me or something that looks dreadful. With a liquid foundation, I am able to add a drop of blue to achieve the olive undertones. The Dior quint is beautiful, especially on you 😍. Love ya loads 🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡

I have the Organza and Nude Dentelle quints... Which do give me a very similar look and few of my Chanel and Tom Ford are quite similar too😊 I think I saw a new cool toned quint as well... Bal something...

I so wanted Organza and Popeline, yet they were never available in Australia, much to my disappointment. They came out at the same time as those triplet palettes and I was told they were our consolation. As I had been very ill and lost much weight, especially on my face, I needed to use paler shades of shadows. These two would have been perfect at the time. I managed though, as we tend to do. There's always something very pretty about a softer palette.💖

I have the same issue with the foundations, I have to mix the porcelain and the fair. The porcelain is too light, fair is too orange. I love the formula just not the colors.n

Not a fan of LG’s Powder Foundation. I have tried Porcelain and Fair. I am just too dry for this product.
