I was so keen for the vibe of San'layn, now I don't even want it to be good because it's so goofy to play. Fingers crossed for a redesign.

I tried san layn and noticed it had better healing due to the rotation of trying to keep vamp blood active as much as possible. So death striking constantly to get the CDR and marrow rend to keep more bone shield charges. I also noticed, it was a more punishing "rotation" by generating RP more efficiently. The DPS loss is crazy so I switched back to death bringer while keeping the vamp blood talents and taking the foul bulwark talent bc you always have high bone shield charges from reaper procs giving you higher max HP. I only use that build in 10+ keys, in lower keys I use the usual death bringer build. When the proc talent for san layn switches I'll give it another shot but as of now I am sticking with death bringer. Side note there is an addon called mists maze helper that tells you what way to go, for newer players it helps alot.

As someone thats been playing Sanlayn from the start because i almost always go against the grain lol ive had fun with it but I feel there is a certain way to play it vs deathbringer. I don't count VB as a defensive as im hitting it on cooldown which means im using lich, ibf, and drw as my defensives in combination with vamp blood. Make sure to use IBF as frequently as possible since you get CDR in Sanlayn based on killing stuff...3 seconds per kill. I deathstrike all the time in packs with less timing in the mindset because the more DS i have less time VB is on cooldown though you have to be careful not to leave yourself with no RP and take a big hit. During VB i try to rotate 3 heartstrikes per DS to keep coag up and use consumption to refresh my runes. I stopped running bonestorm and umbillicus but i only run keys up to 10 so no clue if i would need it passed that. But here is the build i was using till i got rid of bonestorm, though im debating about bloodshot still San'layn M+ Talents: CoPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAghxMzYMzMmZYGzMz0MMMzYGDAAAAAMzMzMzMzsNmZAAAwYmZmBAAAwADMjRjlFQWGwGAzgN Unfortunately Sanl'ayn doesn't do anything along with its name considering throughout a key rune of the fallen crusader will out heal vamp strike, so they really missed the boat from a design standpoint there. Currently im running a crit/mastery build with about 25% crit to take more advantage of bloodied blade talent and essentially parrying 35% of all melee attacks throughout the dungeon at 612ilvl. If vampiric strike healed as much as leeching strike talent it might put it over the top to keep yourself more protected when you want to heart strike spam but... I dont run deathbringer to compare to damage between the two but im running around 600-650k dps for a dungeon with my current set up.

Just the fact that you spam heart strike over anything else during Vamp Blood is aweful. They need to rework how Vamp Strike works and give synergy to Blood Boil. Just make BB hit super hard after Vamp Strikes or something. Both better rotation and fits the theme perfectly.

Dunno, mechanically Blood DK is weird as it was in wrath or cata. Track runes, track runic power, track bone shield stacks. Press blood boil, press heart strike, death strike, Death and Decay, Abomination Limb.... If u're out of runes press this, if u are out of runic pwoer press that... Holy crap, am i playing DK or piano. I understand that on other side is Guardian Druid - Thrash, Swipe, Ironfur, moonfire But why it should be like this? As a perfect balance is smthing like Vengeance DH, but why all skills have CD of 20 sec +++... Leveled Prot Pala, Guardian Druid, Vengeance DH and Blood DK. All 4 to 603 Item level. Guardian is still the best gameplay wise. Vengeance is the best in terms of fun (leaping and gliding around is fcking amazing with 8sec cd on meteor strike) Pala has that weird clunky sht with Hammer of Light. To cast Eye of Tyr it u gotta have 3 power, but ur Shield of Righteous also requires 3 and it has no GCD!!! That make u want to put it into macros. Pressing it manualy is fcking pain. And having it in macros makes Eye of Tyr almost impossible to press. And u have to make another macros to cast eye of tyr, which breaks flow of gameplay. War tank i dont even want to touch it.

BDK being the piano class (for new BDK players) is it's niche. Also, once you get comfortable and the class clicks, it is no longer a piano class. Having a spectrum of challenging - simple tanks specs is a good thing! I think some classes feel really clunky until you learn how they function optimally, then they feel pretty smooth.

you are making it overcomplicated. For most content you can simply track boneshield and press heartstrike then deathstrike. Once you do that naturally, you can add the rest. It's you trying to do everything at once that is making it feel "piano", but bdk is on the easier side

Also Eye of Tyr gives you 3 holy power, what are you even talking about? You can always cast Hammer of light inmeditely after lmao
