Trying out the Flamma Ekoverb FS22 with the East Beast (and some other stuff)

I recently got the Flamma Ekoverb FS22, because it caught my interest the first time I noticed it.
It's a stereo delay + reverb pedal with 3 predefined modes, but I like the 3rd mode (the shimmer reverb) the most. One downside is that it's really not designed for line-level output, so I have to lower the volume of the East Beast by 50% or more to prevent clipping.
I like the sound, but I don't like the clipping, so I'm not sure if it's a keeper. Well I guess I have to play a bit more with it to see if it can win my heart.
What do you think? Keep it? Or return it?

Nice brooding atmosphere 😄... I would keep that pedal. I have the same problem with my line level signals being too hot but there are tricks to make things couple nicely. It's not only an issue of level, but also an issue of impedance so sometimes inserting another pedal in the middle will mediate the signal (which still needs to be attenuated at the source).

Good stuff. Really like how u kept it "simple" with the model cicles. I've seen to many jams where it's all over the place and the single voices get lost between all the noice it spits out. Enjoyed this one tho !!

Thanks! Yeah I know the Cycles can get too much too soon. I mostly like it short and snappy, or indeed minimal like this.

I'd go for the Beast. It's more unique and the sequencer is way easier
