9:21 The problem with people outside of Australia trying Vegemite is they pile it on really thick, so of cause it's going to taste disgusting.. try the cheese and Vegemite sandwich with just a smidgen (just a tea spoon or less) of Vegemite..trust me yes it has a odd taste but won't be as strong. Vegemite is not a major spread like jams/jellies or peanut butters...

Tbh these videos still make US school meals look better then they are. Every school i went to gave you one main(usually burned or underdone), one side(usually crusty from drying out, or you dont get a side bc they didnt have enough), and canned fruit or a bruised apple. Oh and a milk that you had to hope wasnt frozen or old. Forget getting water, the fountains dont work, and even if it did work your not gonna get any of it bc you know some kid practicality made-out with it trying to get a drink 5 min ago.

okay so as a british kids growing up in 2000s that meal wasnt close .. and turkey twisters wasnt fried they was just prossessed turkey in a spring shape , the reason we dont have them anymore is cos of a chef called jamie oliver , came into school and made us eat health stuff ... and due to the ingredients they was not just banned in school but fully decomitioned it is really hard to find them here anymore ... i met jamie a couple month after the ban as i won a health recipe comp , and tell ya all he got was boos from kids as he came on stage and we all told him we missed Turkey twislers , but the pudded is dead on with pink custard but green was better as it had a hint of mint , if you want a proper british school dinner idea drop me a message

Still weirded out when i went to highschool in the US that all their food are either candy or junkfood even just barely food to me lucky i came from a japanese filipino family so i got bentos and filipino Lunch boxs that can be easily fitted and even a termos that either has miso soup or sinigang tinola other soups sometimes when i had no time for lunch i would just drink tyat since it would stay hot for a while even just warm after school even put it in my lunch to instanly heat and soften the food lucky i was in a school that has a big asian and international student body so eating stuff from lunch boxs was not weird to them
