Best opening line ever: Carbunkle's cute! lol After learning more of the Turks in BC, it's really disturbing to have to watch them do this. I can imagine Tseng and the other three were not sad to see the end of President Shinra. It's crazy if you think about it, Tseng, Reno, and Rude are like to Rufus what Tifa, Aerith, and Zack are to Cloud, but in a more professional sense. Love hearing the voice of Wedge and Badger from Breaking Bad in one. Biggs: "Not a fan of kids? But you have so much in common." The pizza talk was great with Jessie. That hurt. I wonder if these memories of loss will tie into the lifestream memory sequence in part 3. I found something VERY interesting in Rebirth chapter 11. Christine, the woman in living in Cloud's house is a chef and self-proclaimed chanteur (French for 'singer'). It's been established that Tifa is a great cook and she has done it professionally, and Aerith sang one of the best songs in the series. Did anyone else ever cook for and sing to Cloud? :)

It’s true! carbuncle is my fave!! lol And yea the delivery of the lines especially was a very interesting thing to me. It was good (?) to know they felt bad…obviously not bad enough BUT I agree I’m sure they were happy when the president was axed lol And since JB&W were present in Rebirth, I’d be surprised if they weren’t featured in the 3rd game. Y’know I totally get why for sure… which I guess adds to me being so off put about it. But the contrast between how Tifa reacted to Nibelheim vs Cloud was very interesting. She was a ball of anxiety and it was clear that Cloud served as a rock and comfort for her but Cloud was just as a rock and pretty much stone faced unless it came to the concern of remembering Zack for the most part. Like a woman now lives in the house you grew up in, the house you know your mother perished in, your town risen from the ashes but not the same as before & I guess the only way to push through to the end goal is to push those facts to the back of your mind lol (also I’m sure to not trigger any mako headaches)

I'm beginning to wonder if what's happening in the lifestream is a combination of 'Maiden who travels,' the lifestream white/black sections of 'On a way to,' mixed with elements of X, and a new Zack scenario." Just to clarify, that last part wasn't a ship debate reference lol. I'm also very put off about that stuff, if that's what you meant lol. I didn't know it was even a thing until a few years ago until I got shouted at for speculation when I was less sure after Remake whether or not we were in remake or full on sequel territory lol. It makes theorizing like walking on eggshells sometimes. Consequently, that's what made me wonder if the loss of Claudia is the thing that is hurting Cloud the most. One day, I thought, 'wow, people fight on the internet a lot, I can see why the older generation says get outside more.' and then I thought... "wait a second" lol I don't think it wouldn't really change anything about the complex, but just give it more context. I wonder if a lesson in parental love will cease a battle between fans about romantic love. Or at least I hope it would lol. What if this is how eyes have been 'Clouded?' I'm all with you about the contrast between Tifa and Cloud's behavior in Cloud's house though. Carbuncle forever!
