But most likely within your lifetime, majority of cars on the road will be driverless worldwide. It is safer to have an automated system do the driving then it is people. Once the systems are perfected people driving will be phased out completely, as it is the most unsafe thing humans do other then intentionally killing one another in War.

If it can only go a maximum of 6mph then it would be faster to walk to it since you can walk faster then that. The only time that could come in really handy is if it's raining and you don't have an umbrella, but even then you could just get the tesla to go buy you an umbrella and drive it to you so you can then walk to the tesla with an umbrella without summoning it.
