As a native Tucsonan we've been experiencing this amazing food our whole lives. Most Mexican households' parents cooked this way and it's nice to see people all around the country and even the world starting to realize Tucson has some of thee best Mexican food anywhere in the United States.

Subscribed, liked, and that bell? It was hammered ! First video I've seen of Drew. Professional Critique- Friggin Awesome. I'm a native Tucsonan, and live in Santa Cruz Ca. Drew did a great job of going to the absolutely out of the way/backwater locations for some killer food! Nice !

I wish Serial Grillers still made the Copycat pizza. Black bean spread instead of pizza sauce, chorizo, avocado... unique and delicious

You picked some strange places to represent Tucson, points for staying away from the mainstream places I guess. I'm looking forward to trying Percheron.

"unique"

Strange? Born and raised here, lived in FL, WA and CA for about 10 years total. All these places are local gems which I think represent local slash regional food very well. Even though eegees is no longer locally owned, he picked one that hasn't gone through a cooperate make over yet, kudos to that.

Slice and Ice > Eegees Slice and Ice is run by one of the originals who started Eegees

Oh, man, do I love me some Eegee's. Their original Italian sub hits all the right notes for me. Can't understand why Subway still exists in Tucson. The chorizo breakfast burritos from a lot of places around town are also amazing (shout out to Paco's on Grant).

100% agree. although not sure when was the last time you had eegees, it recently had been bought out by some corporate large company where you can taste the difference in QA
