@@aureliafroloff7934 My doctor suggested using emulsifying ointments on the eczema affected areas, you can find them at any pharmacy and they work like magic. My skin feels like a baby's butt in no time. For more info, an emulsifying ointment is a mixture of paraffin oils. It is used to moisturise very dry skin such as in eczema or dermatitis that leaves a thin layer on the surface of the skin that stops water evaporating.

Dermatology nurse here. You can use a thin layer of 1% hydrocortisone on the eczema area 1-2 times a day until it's cleared up and moisturize the area like crazy! The steroid will help clear it up quick, but you don't wanna use it more than a week without taking a break...week on, week off is usually OK, and only use as needed. 😊

In high school I used to take my favorite eye shadow, scrape a little off and mix it with vaseline/petroleum jelly to make my own lipstick in colors I couldn't find at the store. Not long after I'd started mixing my own browns & mauves I saw an article in, I think, seventeen magazine, telling girls how to make their own lipstick doing what I was doing! That was the 90's and I'm betting this trick was around before I discovered it! I don't think I'd do it this way though because I dont' want to ruin my eyeshadow! But it made me smile the first time I saw someone doing this :) Loved the video though and happy new year!

Nikkie, love the video (as always)!! On the eczema around the eyes, i also had that issue for a while. Turns out it was the moisturizer I was using. It was ponds face moisturizer which so many people use and talk about but it irritated my eyes so much. It was literally the worst. Tended to ruin my makeup. It could be something in your skincare routine or a product you use frequently. Hope it clears up soon and you figure out what the problem is!!

I would check for allergies girl… I got real allergic to a lot of common ingredients in makeup out of nowhere. I cant use anything with any form of linalool, any form of benzoate, any form of sorbate, any form of parabens and so on. It all started with eczema around the eyes for me as well… stay safe. ❤️

In addition to those, lanolin (in all its forms) is also a very common allergenic, and also common in a lot of skin products.

that makes sense because long term, repeated exposure to certain ingredients/chemicals can cause contact dermatitis (which is a form of eczema)
@ccourttkknee10 ай бұрын
💕 How did you learn which products you were having reactions to?
@Whippeful10 ай бұрын
@@ccourttkknee Just like with any allergy - eliminating the most known allergens (from the products you have gotten allergic symptoms from), seeing if symptoms still continue. If yes, remove more until uknow, no symptoms prevail. If no -> start by testing one allergen/product at a time before moving to the next one. With cosmetics, you can usually just read labels and determine the common factor with all those causing the symptoms, but sometimes there can be many of them in all of the products you use, which does make the testing a lot harder, even expensive. There’s ofc skin prick tests, but depending on your country (and money) it might not be worth it, or they simply don’t do those for rash allergies that don’t endanger your life or cause any other harm but not being able to use a skin care product.
@dluxsux10 ай бұрын
@ccourttkknee I basically had to cut everything out that wasn't approved by ge national eczema association and I started patch testing everything else/new products on my chest for a week or so before I'd consider putting it on my face. And I've learned to be super vigilant and aware of the ingredients in everything.
