When the switch was kinda announced in 2k16, I asked one of my friends if he's heard about it. This was around when the trailer came out I just remembered. He didn't know about it so I told him it's a Nintendo console. The first thing he said was something like "It's terrible". The first thing I think was "Do you have one or something". You can't just declare that it's bad before it's even out. Many people are doing that and it's annoying. I hope it's huge and good just to spite the haters.

well there aren't any games coming to it so that's already enough reason to not get one. no games and no power either, it can't even run things in full HD. It's very weak, overpriced, and has no games.

***** I respect opinions but I still get annoyed sometimes when someone gets an opinion about something before it is released. I don't however respect opinions when someone else doesn't respect your opinion. I do understand that Nintendo has failed (in some peoples opinions) in the past but I am sure that some companies make a come back. I love GTA and other violent games but sometimes siting down and playing a Nintendo game can be good. Nintendo does seem to be geared to a younger audience. I however don't agree with Nintendo having people to pay to play online is good.

Any decent tablet alone is going to cost you 300 bucks and it doesn't come with controllers or a console station. I don't understand why people think $300 for a console is overpriced. And you say it can't even play in HD as if xbone/ps4 can. Tons of games play in 900p/30fps resolution on those systems as well, like assassin's creed. Furthermore, games like mario kart have also been confirmed to fun 1080p/60 fps. I'm sure others will in the future as well.

I don't think the switch will fail. I mean the trailer itself has 25 million views, and counting. Plus it was shown in Jimmy Fallon, and all the other KZbin's are saying good things (some bad) about the system. So yeah, the marketing is awesome for the switch so far.

Yes, it looks like a nice design. At first I thought the whole thing was a gimmick... But it seems like the ''joycon'' controllers are actually very useful and well designed, and it seems to work really nicely. It is a nice piece of hardware I would say. I wish the hardware inside it though, were better. Having Xbox One/PS4 grade performance would make it almost perfect.

People knock the Wii U but the fun we have had with Splatoon, Mario Kart, Mario Party and so many other great Nintendo games has never had us regretting choosing it over other consoles and the same will be said for the Switch. Can't wait!

Lol, ignorance. Wii was great, One of their best consoles and it even got ps and xbox to copy motion controls. You simply have a different taste in games which the other two consoles already cover, and for some reason want yet another almost identical console for no fking reason. People usually put shit down as gimmicks until they notice it actually becomes something awesome, until then fker put it down and make it difficult to progress these innovations and in the end help turn them into flops rather than supporting them and having them succeed. Wii Did it right, honestly Wii U having a second screen was awesome, but leaving the motion controllers was not the best idea. This new system kinda keeps the best of both worlds and more. All depends on how the games go really.

I'm not a gamer at all but Nintendo definitely did a good job of pushing the community aspect of gaming. Rather than isolate the gamer inside of the game, which is what I think Playstation and Xbox have done, Nintendo wants to bring people together to have a fun time with friends. It's nice to see that the social aspect of gaming isn't lost. Great video!

I'm just going to say this to all the haters of the Switch/PS4 and XBone fanboys (trigger warning) Better graphics and more power doesn't make a game more enjoyable. You could have a game with beautiful graphics that plays like absolute shit, while having a not-so-good-looking game that plays brilliantly. I'm sick of seeing people complain about the 'lack of power.' That doesn't mean shit. You won't find the quality of Nintendo's first party games anywhere else, and I'm not saying that the PS4/XBone doesn't have any good games, it's just that from my experience with all the consoles, Nintendo's games are way more fun, especially when you have a buddy playing along with you!

Well not exactly overpriced, but not underpriced like the Xbox one s and ps4 editions. Those consoles are really cheap for what they offer. In fact, Microsoft and Sony are losing money per unit sold. They make it back on selling games. I guess Nintendo's costumer base doesn't allow them to do that.

nintendo has forever attempted to improve their online servers, and from the wii to wii U there was a slight increase. but with payment being required, nintendo is converting to a ps4/xbox1 instead of being the f2p family console branch we know. I would much rather pay more for the console overall then getting online membership

Yeah but that doesn't translate into sales unfortunately, if they sold it for $400 instead, they would probably sell half the units, you have to remember most people buying it don't want to spend too much on a console, especially with cheaper options available. The console method works, most people only see the initial cost at the store, and the online membership later.

Tiger H. Lore considering the price, it's most likely going to be a flop. My reason for this is because I know or at least from my knowledge a lot of die hard Nintendo fans look to Nintendo as the cheaper option with the Wii U pricing lower than the better next gen consoles at the time and with Microsoft and Sony releasing their cheaper motives (Xbox One S and PS4 Slim), I don't see Nintendo releasing a lower priced Switch. Maybe in a few years or if the switch doesn't sell well they will bring the price down like they did the 2DS. Sorry if you do not agree with my opinion I'm just not feeling the switch as of right now.

Aces High if you consider the expenses of extra controllers that range to about $70-$80, then it would be a lot more expensive to have the full local multiplayer experience. The controller isn't even as advanced as the PS4's dual shock 4 controller, but the switch controller has a higher price that would be a10-20 dollar difference towards the dual shock. I'm just considering the people who aren't able to afford one. I am certainly getting the switch because I love Nintendo, but most of the hardcore Nintendo fans I know can't afford the switch's extra expenses and I know you don't have to buy the extra stuff but extra controllers are something that a lot of people need to enjoy the console with family and friends

SenorSwagBuns I didn't say the built-in screen displays 1080p, I said the console outputs 1080p. When it's docked to the TV, it is capable of 1080p because it isn't relying on battery power. The touch screen is 720p. He said this in the video around the 1:00 mark.

Don't rely on rumors as facts. We don't know if the Switch is underpowered. The difference between dock mode and handheld mode so far seems pretty minimal, only a resolution bump while docked. That makes me question the Eurogamer rumor even more.

Uh, yea 720p is plenty for a handheld. I don't understand the whole 4k craze either. The gaming industry is not ready yet. Only for the really high end PC's is 4k 60fps feasible. It's just that we don't know the clockspeeds of the Tegra chip. We don't know if it's Maxwell. So, we don't yet know if the Switch is underpowered. I hate it when people act as if rumors are facts. That's been happening way too often on the Nintendo NX/Switch hype train.

smashbrosproductions its a 6.2 inch screen sure phones n tablets have 1440p displays now but most videos are only in 720 or 1080p, and 1080p is great, most Xbox one and ps4 games don't even run at 1080p and almost no one has 4k tvs because they are really expensive and there are pretty much no movies or TV shows in 4k. 4k won't take off anytime soon

This is the first Nintendo console that maybe can rival the Xbox/PS4. All have paid online, Xbox/PS4 is more powerful but the switch have the innovation and Nintendo game.
