Daybreak 1 was a gracious period I won't lie. I remember so many funny moments playing with my friends and capabiling Imaginary (Unforgotten) for the first time. They're still my main to this day.

In daybreak 1 I loved the opinion thing for characters and how it could further some friendships and relationships I’m sad that they removed that in daybreak 2. 😢

I am DYING for Virtuoso to be added into Daybreak 2. Of course, they'd have to tweak her a bit and change her, but I LOVE HER so much, she was my main and I had the seafoam version of her unlocked. It was STUNNING

“trying daybreak 1 for the first time” makes me feel old. im level 818 in daybreak one and had max leveled three characters or more (eiji, dae, idol) i have the idol and dae classic, bear with me i love showing that off. i remember being there when daybreak hit 10k visits, i have party hats on most survivors and killers. it was a great time, i still main idol to this day and i maxed prestiged him.

daybreak 1 truly felt like a phenomenon that you had to be there to witness (same for DB2's EA!) it just doesn't hit the same anymore since everyone's moved on from it and its basically dead. :( almost EVERY survivor/killer plays differently in some shape or form compared to their daybreak 2 counterparts. did you know Host used to be able to stack multiple traps on top of each other so you could be trapped for like 15 seconds?? and you used to be able to infinite loop with a SINGLE vault since mist blocks didn't exist back then, so they tried to balance it out with a bloodlust feature (which was a seemingly random speed boost for killers). then there's the fact that saadiya could block off her own teammates, yronica used to be a healer, crouching spots used to be a thing in maps, yan and gab used to be able to detect ghost... it was truly an unbalanced mess of its time LOL

It’s interesting to how all the replaced killers were reworked in DB2 apart from The Imaginary Friends/Unforgotten. Virtuoso got her abstraction replaced with Showstopper’s speed + now slows vaults instead of blocking them, and Overgrown’s active shot out a projectile like Warden that would explode into a field.

Gotta say daybreak 1 was so FUN, I remember not knowing how to level up and running helpless in the map until I met other ppl who told me how to play the game. At first it was like the hardest game I have ever played and I HATED the virtuoso so much man, I was killed from them like a hundred times… Im glad that showstopper is here to safe the day (she doesnt) with her mirror where we can gladly come threw and tell ourselves that we may still win (we wont). I remember maining virtuoso in the old times, proud to say that I have become a showstopper main now!!! After some time of playing daybreak one I decided to take a break from daybreak, and as I came back from the ONE year break I was shocked to see daybreak 2 out, like you should’ve seen my face. The fact that I firstly tried to go back to daybreak one to see if its still playable made me sad cause the lobbies were always dead. There was no one😢. Still, daybreak 1 will always have a little place of my heart where I remember the fun times I had with other people. Those other people I have played with sadly werent online for a year now which is pretty sad but life is how it is😿. Daybreak 1 in its “prime” was just so fun and had to be experienced. Also im so sorry for writing a whole paragraph here, im prob not that og like the other ppl in this comments but I just wnated to express my love for this game😼.

even tho i wasnt a db1 player, i feel the nostalgia from when i first started playing db2 from db1 and personally it was a fun experience!! also virtuoso is an opp fr i hate the crazy colored screen I CANNOT. showstopper isn't as bad as virt just for that imo LOL!! proud idol and showstop main here too so twins!! ^^ also i completely understand expressing your love for db1 and tbh i feel you!! it's like ppl with db2 and honestly an insane amount of respect to the older fanbase of course and the returning fans. it's honestly cool to see people share their experiences and stories here. just feels like a open community :D

@@Ethrixity there is so many things in back then U have animation for the skin U have Vanny voice lines (ig it has been removed) as the first charcter that get their voicelines (i try it and stalker voice changed into Vanny voice lines) U have a lot stamina no matter what ur role u are really have a lot stamina back then Have same heal speed Yan is not genrusher Dakari instant heal Some replaced character And "you skin" is free (Ig and "you" have a surv ability as Nami) And yuh infinity vault AND I REMEMBER HOW I STUCKED CUZ THE VAULT IS TOO HARD TO WALK THROUGH IT OMG I MISS THE MEMORIES SO MUCH

i'd say the premise is the same, just the game itself is different with the way you do things + look-wise. you can tell daybreak 2 is more polished and cleaned up.
