This is in the top 5 of what not to do if you rely on your voice for a living LOL .

We saw Home Free in Branson Wednesday night. My husband asked if they had ever played in Cabot AR and Tim brought up the Mean Pig and the video. I had to come look it up. Good stuff!

tip: bread. That's what you chase hot food with is good ol loaf bread. NEVER ice, or even cold drinks. Bet that stuff is great for ulcers. Hot peppers have an oil in them that makes them hot (and spreads it all over) that will cauterize the ulcer and help it heal lol.
@Wendygirljp6 жыл бұрын
Capsaicin surprisingly is very good for ulcers.

as the only daughter and a tomboy at times...I have always tried to beat the heat when it comes to hot sauce... I may not have enjoyed some but I pushed through with the power of denial to try to one up the guys.... I now want to take this horrendous challenge because of my rising competitive spirit! ugh lol

Back about 25 or so years ago I went to a restaurant in way far south Texas with the hubby. I mean, like McAllen south. Food was wonderful but the heat level was definitely high. Very high. I apparently didn't inherit my southern grandfather's immunity to capsaicin, and kept feeling the burn getting stronger. Had to resort to eating ice chips, then finally went to look at my tongue in a mirror. It had a big raw patch on it. Yay chemical burn. To this day I'm more sensitive to spiciness (very annoying).

With Habanero EXTRACT....which is the hottest chili oil the planet! I am from Arkansas.... been to the Mean Pig, and I wouldn't touch it! They put over THREE ounces of the sauce on the sandwich.

@fredth45 I have done the 12 wings blazin challenge , at buffalo wild wings in 1:31 seconds. I did not have to drink water on anything. How does the 12 wing blazin challenge , compares to the shut up juice?

Did your eyes bleed later? Always felt like my eyeballs sweated when I ate really hot food - like my brother's chili. Two pots, one for my mother, husband and kids, the other for us. Sometimes I mixed the two because he just made it hotter and hotter each time. BTW did your voice gain another octave in the upper range after that?
@andymillah12 жыл бұрын
I beat this challenge a couple years ago. It was delicious, besides the evil heat.
@melisr50246 жыл бұрын
You should have some sour cream nearby. That counteracts the heat.

Wish you had told me 40 years ago! or more My Granny Sarah grew pepper. She ate them with meals and some she dried. We had strings of red peppers over the stove. My uncle had lived in California for years. Lots of hot cooking there,. He ate a bite of a pepper. Three glasses of milk two glasses of water and three pieces of bread later, he asked where she got the things. He took a few back to California with him. :D

Spot on, Kari !! Capsaicin is the oil from chillies and Casein is in dairy products like milk... Casein molecules attract capsaicin molecules. They surround the capsaicin molecules and wash them away, in the same way that soap washes away grease. ... Casein forms the curds in sour milk. So, cottage cheese, which is primarily casein, would be great to ease the pain from eating chili peppers🌶🥛
