Check this out, I grew up in that area Imperial and Broadway. As a matter of fact, I have a $2.50 certificate from Astro’s Liquor from when I won an attendance award from 1118th Street Elementary School. Well in 1995 shortly after I was married, I was in the fish market with my wife buying a fish dinner for my mother when a verbal altercation occurred. One brother told the other brother, if this couple (me and my wife) was not in here, I’d bust a cap in yo ass! He was serious, strap in the waistband… My wife and I looked at each other and I was like we might have to just leave the order here and exit…. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed and we were able to get our order. Note: I have not been back to that fish market and never ever will!!!!!
