not really, all the “im cold” makeup videos are pretty basic makeup that is seen in all styles of makeup from all countries. krystal’s seems to be more Korean makeup inspired tho.

@@keeptaiwanfree I'm talking about how they're putting the glitter on the under eye bags and how they're placing the blush. those are popular Korean technics. just like how this whole clean girl stuff is solely based on Korean all natural makeup. it might be kind of a parody but it's way too much alike to be a coincidence. just how trends were using black technics now it's asian technics.

@@carol-bs7vv I definitely agree that the "cold girl makeup" seems/looks similar to popular Korean styles of makeup but the only correction I want to point out is that "clean girl makeup is soley based on Korean all natural makeup" as it actually came from Black/Hispanic women and how we do our makeup. Clean girl makeup is basically everyday Black/Hispanic women's makeup routines just rebranded, similarly to how cold girl makeup seems like Korean makeup styles rebranded. Other then that I agree with you!

@@hippiehopie4618 i meant how Koreans have been doing natural makeup for years and now since kpop is getting bigger they had some kind of influence. the lip lining is definitely from black and Hispanic women but the natural perfect skin is what I've been watching Koreans do since forever. I still think there's influence from both parties and at the end of the day it's just white women popularizing stuff from other cultures with different names

a lot of the trends in korea are also inspired by makeup on douyin done by Chinese influencers. At the end of the day does it really matter though. people all over the world do their makeup differently and isn't it a beautiful thing that were all taking inspiration from eachother and trying different things? across the world people also emulate the 'french girl' style and makeup, Scandinavian interior, makeup, style etc. makeup is just a melting pot of cultures coming together to accentuate your features in a way that suits you best. and sometimes techniques from other cultures work well across different types of features too :)
