Computer-assisted rangefinding is a little out of my wheelhouse, and an optical rangefinder is slow and unreliable if accurate at all. It’s simply easier to walk it on

The stug line of tanks were extremely effective in ww2 with a similar form factor as your tank. Although the stug had a short barrel gun that was mounted further back into the body.

And are there rules on what can be used? I beleive I would attempt to bring a bipedal walking machine that prioritizes mobility and firepower, this would end up trading off durability and its ability to "tank" shells, and in return the mech would be able to jump, this is quite literally, the most broken ability.
