@@MillennialMcGuyverBiggest suggestion I have is try them with a discount code. HelloFresh has been really good, but full price just doesn't always feel worth it(its great when you run out of dinner ideas or hate grocery shopping, but I'm also someone who if I'm taking that time to cook, I want leftovers for the next day. If you're think about trying it get those codes that give like the first 5 boxes free or heavily discounted. Annoying thing about HelloFresh is they really push trying to get other people to join so you get discounts.. they send cards with codes to give to people in every box and notifications that "discounts are waiting for you" but only if you get other people to join. That being said, their meals are really good, wide variety and have saved a few that I have made (with leftovers) from grocery store runs. I've also tried Thrive Market, Hungry Root & Imperfect Foods (though the last is more groceries and less meal making service) Thrive Market is more market as well, with a great many dietary restriction options, it just seemed like things I was interested in were sold out a lot. Hungry Root is a mix of meals and grocery and also a lot of dietary restriction options. The downside I had with them is sometimes got mushy fruits, they're nice enough about crediting you back, but then you still have to make a trip to the store... Imperfect foods has honestly been the best experience so far... I get a lot of veggies and nothing mushy or moldy.

Mama Maples saying she was so sorry Mia got burnt made me so emotional as although I get on really well with my family, they only really comfort me like that when I'm actually crying (and it takes a lot for me to do that; I usually shutdown rather than meltdown) and even then they don't always. I'm disabled, chronically ill etc. so there are admittedly more times I'm in pain than most (and there's nothing they can do like running my hand under a cold tap), but my family try to get me to look on the bright side and motivate me to do things rather than understand I need someone to just sit with me and acknowledge my pain. I know this isn't really relevant but it just makes me happy and hopeful seeing relationships like this

Mama Maples (& anyone else for whom this might be helpful): a fantastic tip I learned a few years ago that has made a big difference is, flip your knife blade over when scraping things off your cutting board. Like use the flat top part of the blade. 👍🏼 I dunno the exact statistics but I know accidents/injuries caused by using dull knives is right near the top of the list insofar as kitchen mishaps go; I can think of very few things that will dull a blade more quickly than dragging it around on a cutting board. Hope this helps 😊

@@briannawalker4793 Rinsing it isn't to wash off the bacteria, it's to remove any residual blood or that fatty film it gets, from the meat. Even if you got the bird straight from your own yard, it would still have to be rinsed quite a few times, and maybe given a good soak, before you even think about butchering it and cooking it to your liking. It's also important to have clean hands when handling food, so that's why you should wash your hands before and after you touch meat. It's also important that it's as fresh as possible.
